Hotel reception counter staffs of grand floor always talk to me “Mr Chiba, any help” with smile. I always fell very comfortable and at home. I am learning Myanmar language weekend and when I have questions go down to Ms Grace. She kindly teaches me and I could pass Myanmar Language Test. I greatly appreciate.

They have an excellent choices for breakfast. But the best part of my stay was they prepared delicious Mont Hinn Kher for me every morning. Thank you so much Meliá Yangon and their staffs for making my trip wonderful. I would like to a special thanks to the following staffs and would love to recommend their services. They are very lovely and they always do excellent jobs. They all made my long stay amazing and I can’t wait to visit them again. Aye Chen Wai & Aung Sett Paing from house keeping to make my room always neat and tidy. Kyu and Nyein from Flower service for arranging beautiful roses for me and made me feel like home. Kyu & Nyein made the most beautiful flower arrangement for our anniversary day and I appreciate their excellent service. Min Min, Nyi Nyi & Aung Maw Zin from laundry for taking care of my clothes and for their efficient service. Oscar and William from Reception for arranging everything I need during my long stay. Ma Oke Maung did an excellent job introducing us to the menu and the food was excellent. Price wise you can beat their set up at lunch hours given that the restaurant is located at a five stars hotel. Highly recommend this place

"We held our wedding reception at Melia Yangon on March 2024nand had an exceptional experience. Ms Tha Pyay from the sales team was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the planning process. The suite room provided for our honeymoon was exceptionally comfortable, and the thoughtful honeymoon gifts and preparations made us feel truly special. We cannot speak highly enough of the service provided by the staff at Melia Yangon, particularly Ms. Sing Swe Sin, my best friend who not only recommended Melia Yangon for our special day but also went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Ms Tha Pyay from the sales team was instrumental in coordinating our event seamlessly. Additionally, Mr. Aung Ko and Ms. Nandar from the front office department were attentive and accommodating, enhancing our overall experience. We wholeheartedly give five stars to the exceptional service and hospitality provided by the team at Melia Yangon. Thank you for making our wedding celebration unforgettable." <3<3<3

We had visited the Melia a few times prior to Covid and the civil unrest and were impressed by the hotel and in particular, the staff, lounge, service and food provided for Level guests. As the country was again cautiously opening up again for tourism, we decided to visit Yangon again and based on past experiences, chose The Melia again. I had issues with my visa application and had to contact the hotel for additional documentation which they provided within hours of contacting them which was impressive and very much appreciated. We arrived at the hotel mid-morning and was checked in in the hotel lobby which I thought unusual as we had previously undertaken check in formalities in the Level lounge, however, this wasn't a problem as we were happy that our room was ready well before official check in time. Afternoon tea was offered to Level guests and this is where the disappointment really hit home. On previous visits, there was an array of self service food and cakes etc. available, however, such items were very conspicuous by their absence on this visit. Instead, you were provided with a limited 'menu' where you were offered four canapes on a slate or the option of a very poor cheeseboard that was not inspiring at all. The same option was offered on evening cocktail 'happy hour' which became monotonous after four days. Furthermore, it sometimes took an eternity to actually receive the food - very likely due to it having to be prepared in the main hotel kitchen. The very large lounge was always empty and soulless, however, as with all the staff we encountered at the hotel, they were amazing at in no way could be blamed for the food or limited facilities being offered. The option to have breakfast in the lounge has also been removed and it wasn't until our third day that we realised Level guests had a dedicated area in the main restaurant for breakfast. We both preferred breakfast in the Level lounge on previous stays, but sadly, this option is no longer available. The breakfast food available in the restaurant was OK. The pool area is very good and the gym looked very functional. Around the hotel, the shopping mall next door was handy, but night entertainment is very limited and we were shocked to see the many bars that did exist on the roof of the shopping area had disappeared - obviously, civil unrest and Covid had taken its toll. A short taxi ride to Junction Square offered some entertainment options. We did dine in at the hotel one evening and opted for the seafood buffet which was very good and great value. There were some very good offers for dining in the hotel and to be honest, we both felt that staying in a standard room and using the hotels evening dining options would offer better value than the poor offerings in the lounge. Overall, this is a very good hotel with excellent staff, but maybe our expectations were more elevated following previous stays and hopefully The Level services can be resumed to 'normality' to allow consistency with other Melia hotels offering the same product.

Dear Davy, Warmest greetings from Melia Yangon! Thank you very much for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and the detailed feedback regarding your stay. First and foremost, we would like to thanks for your kind words regarding our team's efficiency and the prompt assistance provided during your visa application process. Furthermore, your feedback regarding our Level lounge offerings is invaluable to us. We take your constructive comments seriously, and we will review them thoroughly with our management team for further improvement. Dear Davy, while we are trying our best to adapt to the situation with the limited resources available, we understand your disappointment with the current offerings at the Level Lounge. As you mentioned, before COVID-19 was a golden time in Yangon, Myanmar, and everything was exceptional at Melia Yangon in terms of services and facilities. Nevertheless, now we are striving to restore all the benefits as we did before COVID-19. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience current situation may have caused. Rest assured, we are committed and tried our best to ensuring that our guests receive the high standard of service and amenities they expect from The Melia brand. Additionally, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the seafood buffet and found value in our dining options. Once again, thank you very much for sharing so many positive comments and constructive suggestions about our services and facilities. For further discussion, allow me to serve you through paul.zawmyunan@melia.com. The entire team of Melia Yangon and myself can't wait to welcoming you again at Melia Yangon. Very best regards, Paul Zaw Myu Nan Guest Experience Manager
