Stayed here 5 nights, amazing old world charm, could do with a face lift! but that aside the staff were extremely wonderful and made my stay very enjoyable, the rooms are huge, if you are on a budget but like lots of room and get customer service stay here!

We stayed here after a late flight from Hanoi.Booked in a hurry. It certainly must have been impressive in its heyday. The fadedvgrandeur still remains. We had a room on the second floor ,fine off to use the lift and out of action and I would say that has been the case for some considerable time. If I had known this in advance...

Stayed here in 2012 Hotel condition was very poorly maintained. Hallways is big, dimly lit, dust smell and very empty.. I was booked their Suite room on right wing of the hotel (if you're facing the hotel). Very big and full of antique furniture. Dimly lit -- couldnt sleep during my 2 nights stay there. There're 2 windows in the...

My wife and I first stayed here nearly 20 years ago. We thought it was a quaint hotel and enjoyed our stay. Since then it has slipped quietly downhill to become a dysfunctional, badly managed hotel that charges far too much for the little it has to offer, even at Yangon's currently super inflated hotel prices. The hotel is not...

Its an old hotel with nice helpful staff but the facilities is poor...the room is normal... Room: electrical points unstable Charge my powerbank and laptop the whole night...but when wake up all was not charged. Need to bang the power point then can charge...but after awhile the power point went off again. Exterior: run down...classic colonel building...lift suddenly not working...had...

It seems all of the hotels in Yangon are very expensive, but for $100 a night, you expect a bit more. From the outside, this hotel is very impressive and I'm sure it was very regal in it's day. The bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways could all use a bit of paint and the pool was a lovely shade of green...

The entrance lobby is good but what lies behind it is less so. Bedrooms vary in quality and the bathrooms even more so. Today and tomorrow I am the only person staying here. When there are a few people you will get breakfast but if there are 3 or 4 you will be given coffee and a banana. Considering the...

The entrance looks impressive at night, and there's many teak carvings, but the whole place needs a coat of paint with updating. If you're nostalgic for the former colonial empire feel, this place has the originals and feels like the ghosts of the past are still there. The staff are so kind, it's difficult to write a bad review. The...

In October 2014 my wife and I spent 9 days (8 nights) in Myanmar, including a total of three nights in Yangon (Rangoon). We had arranged with a Yangon travel agency for a tour of the country which included car, driver, travel assistant, entrance fees, meals, and hotel at each destination. It was a lump sum payment, so we never...

My husband and I stayed here twice, at the start and at the end of our travels in Myanmar. This hotel in its earlier days would have been quite luxurious but I am afraid now, it is tired and badly in need of renovation, repairing and total overhaul. Yangon is an old city showing its age from the tropical weather...
