The hotel is located near the train station. It's a very quiet place. Waiter and waitress are very polite. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is just okay but good service! If u want to do anything and you don't know how to do. Just ask the reception. They are very willing to help you to resolve your problem.

Pretty good hotel and very good service for the budget. The rooms and the building in general is very dated. Myanmar hotel upkeep isn't as good as neighboring countries in Southeast Asia because of isolation so the interior condition is always lower in standard. The staff was very nice and spoke very good English. They showed us local attractions, restaurants...

Overall, the Eastern Hotel is in a good location, 15/20 mins walk to the Sule Pagoda, is spotlessly clean, and has plentiful, well presented excellent staff who are always genuinely cheerful and can't do enough for you. We were met at the airport by a great driver who spoke good English, had a comfortable car, and was able to fill...

This a bit outdated hotel is situated in the centre of Yangoon with everything you needs at hand. The hotel could use a renovation but the most remarkable thing about the hotel is that everything they promise is thare and not only that it is working. Free wifi, no problem, clean room, no problem, very nice and helpful staff, no...

this hotel is in a very good location for getting around Yangon. the rooms are perfectly fine though nothing special and the staff was very helpful. We stayed just one night. There is no character about the place or warmth really, but as a place to stay if you're busy all day...its good.

It is the best choice in Yangon. We were so positively surpriced when we arrived. We've read reviews about hotels here beeing quite bad and expansive so we were prepared for the worst. And yes, maybe this hotel is a bit overpriced but for Myanmar standards it is ok. This hotel would probably be half price in Bangkok. The room...

Room is spacious and Clean as well as the bathroom. Bed is comfortable. TV got cable channels. A/C is working fine. But the hotel is a bit old and it gives a gloomy vibe. So, a paint job would definitely help. Buffet Breakfast is nice. Staff are nice- they allowed us to check in early and avail the breakfast on...

Friendly and helpful staff - we arrived in the hotel at ~6:45am, and the staff greeted us with smile and tried their very best to make the room available for early check in (~8:45am), after previous occupants check out and cleaning. The earliest check in time is about 8:30am because the cleaners start working at 8am, allow 30 mins or...

We stayed only 1 night but the experience was great. The staff were very helpful in making a plan for the day and provided a map. they told us some places to eat and see close to the hotel as well. The breakfast in the morning was the best of the 3 hotels I stayed at in Myanmar. It was...

Stayed at the double (twin) room. They don't seem to have double beds and only twin beds, which was rather odd. Very spacious room with good amenities -- TV, fridge, hair dryer, slippers, etc. For $40 a night, it was a little on a steep side for a budget traveler, but given the facilities and location, it's reasonable. Bathroom is...
