I am very happy with Space Boutique Hostel, the location is top, easy to get connection with walking distance to Sule and many good restaurants around the area, the room is small but they make it good with the best linen and good AC, the service is excellent from the front desk to the breakfast table. Outside bathroom is common for Burmese budget place so also here, but that's not a problem since they really keep everything clean and nice. I've stayed at many budget places in Yangon before but the Space Boutique got all my heart since the first stay! For my next visit I will stay here again!

Perfect location near to the main day market, staff were so helpful.

Price was so cheap so cannot really complain! Free coffee and breakfast.

Located above a shop so a little hard to find but Taxi eventually found it.

Good luck Space!

First let me say that this place is wonderful, clean, good AC, amazing free coffee machine, great location.... but most importantly, the staff is beyond helpful and really just wanting to help however possible!
I stupidly reserved a male dorm (I am female)... was tired and not paying attention. When I got here, the female dorms were full, and obviously I couldnt be in the male dorm. I just got off an 8 hour bus and really didnt feel like wandering the streets looking for a hostel during the night. Kyaw Kyaw at the front desk was so nice and helpful, doing whatever he could to make sure they had a bed for me somehow. They ended up giving me a single room for the night, which was beyond kind.
Basically this hostel is amazing in every way and the fabulous guest service is what makes it truly exceptional for the price!

A good hostel on a filthy street is how I would describe this. The stairs up to the place do not inspire confidence. However, once you enter, things change. The place is neat and clean. The bathrooms and toilets, though shared, are also clean. The power transformer broke down when we were there which led to one uncomfortable stay without air conditioning or lights in the night. But they recovered and got a generator up and running. Breakfast was basic but with unlimited coffee helpings. All in all, a mixed bag.

This is my first time to stay in hostel , it's not that easy to find it & lobby is not big as well , room is still fine and beautify tho, staffs here are nice , everything here is clean as well , it's a nice hostel.
For breakfast here is also nice , though just bread and an egg, it's taste delicious, even though provide banana for breakfast...what s nice place.

The service of this hostel is like a 5* hotel! Free coffee (delicious!) and water the entire stay. The breakfast is super delicious as well. The shower is spacious with free shampoo and body soap. Everything is so clean! And the location is right in the centre. The owner is amazingly helpful and speaks really good English. Once I left my bag with them for 1 week + personal belonings .. they took really good care of it, which means that the staff is honest .. I'v stayed several times at this hostel and would absolutely recommend it!!!

We stayed 3 nights at Space Boutique and really enjoyed it. Don't be put off by the three flights of stairs up what looks like an abandoned block of flats! Once you get up there you'll find a brand new and well-fitted out little hostel. The rooms are clean and the staff (most of whom speak passable English) are very smiley and eager to help. The shared bathroom facilities are fine, and they provide a little breakfast which is decent. The 24hr coffee machine and chilled water filter are nice perks. Wifi was average, but fine by Burmese standards. The location is excellent and the price was reasonable. Recommend!

Space Boutique's location on Anawratha Rd next to nationally famous biryani place Nilar is excellent. If you don't mind the chaos, you can walk to Sule Paya and 999 Shan Noodle Shop, currently ranked Yangon's best eatery, in 10 minutes. Yet, everything comes at a price. As there's no parking nearby, it's rather difficult to arrange someone to pick you up from the hostel. (Let say you tell your driver to meet you at 2 pm and he arrives at 1.55. It might take him up to 45 mins to come back to pick you up because of one-way traffic).

The property itself is located on the 3rd floor of a ramshackle building that has rather steep stairs. But the hostel's air-conditioned living area, however small, really offers an oasis of calm untouched by the hustle and bustle outside. The bedrooms are functional but nothing to write home about - just bed(s), one table, one chair and two plugs - nothing else. There're three shared toilets and showers each, and the ones in the rear (next to the sink and kitchen used by the staff) tend to be mouldy. So use those in the middle - almost always cleaner.

We booked a double room for one night and got to Yangon very early in the morning. The staff was super kind and let us check in early to our room so we could rest. The room was small but perfectly fine and the AC powerful. Shared amenities are OK and breakfast quite basic, but overall we were happy with our stay.

The staff was friendly and helped me organize a bus ticket to Bagan. The breakfast is quite limited and the place is quite small, thus only to sleep. But the location is quite good especially if you walk towards the Sule Pagoda, which is also not far from the hostel by the way. If you walk opposite direction (to the right exiting the hostel) on the other hand, you will come across very much modest traditional neighbourhoodffering many local eating options and shops. The bathrooms are ok and the place has washing machines.
