I stayed there 19 nighs. There are some good points (mostly) and a few bad ones. Fistly the staff is very friendly and supportive. There can be no complaints about them. Secondly the management acted very responsible, when I was in a health danger situation. I am very thankful to them for that. The bad points: One Aircon was not working and I was told beyond repair. I waited for a word of excuse (or even compensation) by the General Manger Mr. Smith Tin Win Aye, but that never happened. Finally i asked 2 time for an appointment, only to hear that "he is not free" "he is busy". Is that a proper way to behave by a GM ? I dont thinks so. Finally it must be mentioned that I could hear every word from the guests below my room. But total lack of sound isolation is common in Yangon.

Just off U Wisara Rd, the hotel is in a it of a rundown backstreet. The surrounds are not particularly pleasant. It's main attraction is value for money. I was upgraded to a suite on both occasions I stayed, which was gratefully accepted. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable. I had a desk and chair, and sofa. There was a safe in the wardrobe. The AC worked but was a bit underpowered for the size of the room. My main gripe was the lack of attention to details. On the first stay, I opened the curtain, which promptly fell on the floor as there were no stops at the end of the rail. On the second stay, the plug in the bath/shower wouldn't open and the shampoo and bath foam holders were empty. There was, surprisingly no hot water in the bathroom sink! Breakfast was a relatively modest buffet. That having been said, all the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful.

We only stayed one night at the hotel and our overall impression was very good. However, we will most likely stay closer to downtown when we return in order to be closer to other sights.

Pros:
Hotel is only a pleasant 10 minute walk to Shwedagon Pagoda. It's located in an authentically local neighborhood, not touristy, so it offers a unique opportunity to witness how locals live. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and allowed us to stay until 6pm before getting the night bus to Bagan. Reasonable hotel rates. The room was clean, had a minibar and tea kettle. AC worked well and TV had some English channels. Bed was very comfortable. Several restaurants were within walking distance from the hotel.

Cons:
Distance from other sights in Yangon. We felt a bit isolated. Taxis were more expensive than anticipated. We paid 7,000 kyats from the airport and 10,000 kyats to get from the hotel to the bus station (JJ Express to Bagan). The room itself was comfortable but cramped. The bed seemed a little too large for the room so there was only a narrow space to navigate. The bathroom is very small and without separate shower stall so you must literally shower over the toilet and the entire bathroom gets soaked. The hotel wifi worked but it was slow, our SIM card data was faster (We bought SIM cards from the Telenor stand in the baggage area of the airport, 10,000 kyat). Lastly, the warming trays were not kept warm for the breakfast buffet so all the "hot" items were lukewarm.

This hotel is located in a hard reachable part of Yangon. Rooms look nice on websites but look different in the reality. They are very tiny and are old. Shower is over the toilet so when you take a shower water is pooring on the toilet. Breakfast is ok. Staff was kind.

Staff was extremely nice and efficient, room was clean although it looked very old and had a safe in it. I didn't get to eat breakfast though because I overslept. For the price I paid I think it's a great value for your money. It was my first time in Yangon and I would recommend it to others.

We arrived in Yangon very late after a delayed flight. Hotel Accord was still offering full bellhop and front desk service and gave us a coplimentary upgrade to suite on the top floor. The rooftop has an excellent view of the city, the breakfast was good both days, and the service was excellent. A very good value in Yangon.

We loved this place from the check-in. They have a great team and they all want to help you, and speak very good English which made it much easier to communicate.

The room was clean and the location is very good. They have a huge terrace at the top of the building where you can take pictures of the city and see the Shwedagon Pagoda. Their restaurant also has very nice food, priced much more reasonably than the other restaurants in the city.
We'll be back on our return journey.

Rafael and Jinju

On the day of our departure we were allowed to keep the room till 22:00 so we could have a shower before getting on the plain. Breakfast is very good and staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Hotel-taxi to airport was same rate as other taxis.

Having been a frequent visitor to Yangon over the last four years or so I have struggled to find a decent regular place under the $100 mark, but Accord fits the bill. The rooms are really clean, the beds are new and comfy, the internet works, the staff are at least capable of checking you in and serving you a meal and the location is pretty good. None of this is ever guaranteed in Yangon, so to tick all those boxes is a bonus. Some things could be improved; the breakfast is limited and the airport pick-up is a steep $25, if memory serves me correctly. Nevertheless, it's a good place all round, and I recommend it
