Location was good. Exit 1 of Jongno 3 Station. Breakfast was just toast and cereal. They do provide popcorns and drinks 24 hours at the reception. Room was spacious. However, it was not very clean. There were dust everywhere (especially behind the tv and the ledge between the window and a board covering the window). I had wanted this hotel...

The hotel is very close of the metro station and the bus stop that gets you to the airport. The rooms are very nice, the only problem is that the hotel is localizated ons very small street, hard to be find.

A few days in Seoul to see friends and a couple of meetings. I booked into the rather quirky Pop 1 Hotel in Jongno-gu, the bustling suburb in Seoul full of side alleys, restaurants, foot carts and night life. The hotel was unassuming and difficulty for my local taxi driver to locate. However, once there, it was a pleasant surprise....

Based on the photos we thought this would be a funny, different, boutique place. Well, that's not true. It is just plain ugly and shabby. Left a bad taste. Only good thing is that the neighborhood is nice and central

Stayed here for 5 nights. Good price -quality, yet some constraints. In general clean where you walk but stains all over on the walls and closets. It smells like cigarette smoke. Beware that they clean up the room with 1 bathtowels and 3 face towels each morning, but if you raise that point at reception you might find an extra...

We visited hotel with husband in Feb 2015. CONS: What I should say for sure, there was no heating, including air conditioner - only cooling option. In winter not the desired one. God bless there was hot water and we managed to warm up ourselves in jacuzzi :) BUT I'd rather not advice you to sit in it, only legs...

It took me awhile to find to find decent hotel with reasonable price. Finally I found this one. There is direct bus from incheon international airport. 6002 as I remember. jongno 3 (Sam) ga the name of the stop. The room is pretty small but cozy with jacuzzi and shower. They provide free coffee, pop corn and some local drinks...

Location is great for food & most importantly the pick up point for Nami Island Limo Bus thus we selected this place. We took the airport bus no. 6002 to travel to Hotel Pop Jongno. The drop off point is the 2nd last drop off point for the airport transfer. Please cross the road and turn to the small lane....

Depending on what you are looking for, this commentary is to understand different. The area it is in is - let's say - fun. Loads of drunk people. It's near "Street Food Street" (no joke). That means, you can pretty much eat the whole night. And drink. What you pay is what you get, basically. This hotel was one of...

Staying in Gwanghwamun / Jongno

Neighbourhood Profile
Gwanghwamun / Jongno
If Gwanghwamun is the unofficial living room of Seoul, Jongno is the main hallway connecting some of Seoul’s most important historic sites and neighbourhoods. Being one of Seoul’s oldest neighbourhoods, the area is rich with history and culture in its palaces, shrines, and temples. Stand in the centre of Gwanghwamun Square with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Mt. Bugak in front of you, King Sejong the Great statue behind you, and modern office buildings encircling you—it’s one of the best ways to experience both past and present Seoul in one spot. The main street of Jongno is mostly dotted with restaurants and cafes, but explore deeper within its intricate alleys to pass decades-old restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and pojangmachas (tents that open at night for quick bites and drinks) and life seems to run just as it did a decade or two ago. Don’t forget to stop at Gwangjang Market, Korea’s oldest traditional market, where it’s just as fun to explore as it is to eat the affordable market dishes that locals have been enjoying since the market first opened in 1905. For a break from urban life, walk along the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs parallel to Jongno for a moment of natural refuge in metropolitan Seoul.
