Excellent hotel with all facilities in place, very clean, smiling staff, very close to COEX Seoul and Samseong metro stop. Good breakfast, large rooms and helpful staff. Ideal to stay for any congress/convention in COEX as it not directly in the city center but it...More
Great location above the Coex mall with loads of high-end shops and different places to eat. Easy access to metro to see the city sights. Room was on non-smoking floor but still smelled of stale smoke. The restaurant was overpriced and disappointing. Printing prices in...More
Stayed here now the 2nd time.
From checkin to checkout everything was perfect. Staff, service, restaurant, everything was very pleasant.
Very good room.
Hotel is connected to the Coex center / Shopping wich make the location perfect if you need to visit these.
Checked in after a long journey with specific instructions I did NOT want a smoking room. Level 14 - the smell of stale smoke was overwhelming and so I called Front Desk to do something about it or I would move to the hotel over...More
The "bad" - yes there was some construction noise during the day. I'm used to it because I live in Asia. Yes - they did not have the wonderful Japanese automatic bottom washers, but there was a bidet. Hotel food prices in Korea are outrageous...More

A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or
take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

If I were you, I'd take taxi. If no traffic, the tax costs less than 10,000KRW (according to Naver map, it's about 6KM, less than 10mins). Black/luxury taxi provides better service but is far less common and costs double. And a big IF her is the traffic condition -- the time and fare can easily go up (even double) in peak hours.
Subway is convenient especially if to avoid traffic hour -- take Budang line from Suseo, transfer at Seolleung to #2 line, to Samseong station; Grand IC is at exit #5. About 5~6 stops total; short ride but with connection.
Another alternative is bus -- many buses run from Suseo to Samseong, if you feel comfortable doing so, or simply adventurous.

if you have more than 1 luggage, arrive in the bad weather, or simply want to avoid walking or any potential mistake, take KAL 6704 -- it drops off/pick up right at the hotel front door; if you are flying with Korean Air, you can purchase the bus ticket (part of duty free) with some discount.
CALT 6103 is faster (not stop vs KAL's last stop is Grand IC) and more frequent (10~20min interval vs KAL 30min), but its stop is at the Samsung subway station exit #5, which is closet subway entry, but it still requires about 5 mins walk.
