close to myeongdong shopping area, exit 10 of myeongdong metro is right in front of the hotel. breakfast buffett is OK, can be a bit better with more options. the hotel in general is a bit dated, but everything still works. only one downside, one time our room started smelling with cigarette smoke coming out of the ac.

The location was great, few steps to Myeongdong shopping and restaurant area. Hotel room was spacious, room service was quite clean but you have to run after the cleaning lady to ask for tea or coffee. They didn't bother to check. Once asked, she was OK to give me some. I've got ankle sprain during my stay in Seoul, ambulance... More

I was there with my hubby last Nov-Dec 2015. For ladies who loves shopping, this is the hotel for you. It's steps away from the famous Myeongdong street and the subway is in very near the hotel. Extremely convenient, easy excess to train station. Basic amenities provided. Clean. The room setting and interior, nothing special. IMO, this hotel need some... More

For a four star hotel that was fairly exxy the service was shocking and the rooms were very, very average at best. I'm sure the language barrier didn't help but a general desire to help or support was hard to find. The room was constantly at 28 degrees celsius and there was no one prepared to help. After two nights... More

City views hotel room, can directly watch Seoul tower from the room. The hotel is near myeongdong station exit 10, convenient store is next to the hotel. Myeongdong shopping district is in walking distance, so you can back to your room whenever you want. Nice place to stay and friendly staff.

Perfect location, within walking distance to eateries, shopping, and subway. Hotel room was clean, they have a tripple room which can fit 4 people, perfect for a family. What we love the most though was that food and shopping can be found just 1 minute walking distance.

This excellent hotel is located a little out of the main areas of Seoul but dont let this put you off. Located next to a metro station, the airport buses also stop just outside the reception, also perfect for walking upto the N.Seoul Tower. Cant fault the hotel, the room or the staff - excellent stay.

Located just a little walk off the main Myeongdong street, so it's great for someone who wants to be near the action but have a little peace and quiet. One of the train station exits was right at the doorstep of the hotel so it was easy to get to other parts of Seoul as well. The hotel does look... More

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
