I love this guesthouse. It's easy to find (only take a bus 6015 from incheon, then take a stop in "myeongdong station"), you can see the guesthouse from the station. The staff is so kind for helping me carry my heavy luggage from the 2nd floor to 4th floor. And the room is clean. With the price that is very...

I booked a single room but shared bathroom, it was cheap and clean. The receptionist is at the 2nd floor, he knew a lot of good English and he helped me find my way to Everland Themepark and printed out some helpful directions which is nice. If you have heavy luggage then better rethink your options. (This place is more...

I booked at this Inn to be with my students. I thought they are familiar with this inn. It was a nightmare ... they say their valet will help you with your luggage ... no way ... no valet at all just ONE person manning the entire extra small inn. The stairway to the inn located in the second floor...

The good thing about this guesthouse is that it is in Myeongdong itself, so you can shop till drop and go back in the wee hours without having to take cab or rush for the last train. The staff was also very friendly and there is a pantry for breakfast and beverages. The bathroom was shared, but good thing was...

The place was practically on top of Myeongdong Station Exit 9. Easy to locate and very accessible to all tourist attractions. Myeongdong Shopping area was a step away. The person in-charge of reception (Hye Ji-ssi) is very accommodating and can speak basic English and fluent Mandarin Chinese (most guests were Chinese btw). The rooms (we occuppied 2 rooms, 1 in...

Yes, our stay for 7 nights just cost us 580,000 won. I was able to rent a guesthouse that's cheap but it's not this small, especially the bathroom! It's so hard using the bathroom. The floor is heated but the aircon is centralized. You have to ask permission if they could turn it on for you. The service was so-so.The...

We had this room with is so damn small. Upon entering the door, after 2 steps its already a contained CR. Again from the door 4 steps to Bed. Thats it. almost no movement needed at all. A window with a size of a window-type aircon and a mini fan. Thats it and that is all.

The room is small but cosy. I went there during the winter time, but the room equited with the floor warmer. The receptionist are friendly and kind. The location is near to subway, the hotel close to the Myeongdong Walking Street.

With a location that can't be beat this place was a great find! Centrally located in shopper's heaven Myeongdong, the guesthouse is located right in front of exit 9 of the Myeongdong subway station. We were actually put in the annex which was across the road and right next to the Prince Hotel. This place was even better situated near...

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
