It was my first ever Korea trip. So it would be very crucial for us to make it a memorable & comfortable trip. We chose Kimchee Myeongdong for its convenience near the subway (euljiro-sam (3) ga) and a walk able distance to the heavenly Myeongdong and of cos they offer a really affordable rates for us for 7nights. Yes the...

We stayed a total of 4 nights in December 2013. Central location and about 2-3mins walk to/from the subway. The room was very small, as expected. The water heater worked (useful for cold winter in Dec) but shower water did not drain quick enough. At times there was weird smell coming from the bathroom. Good that we had a tiny...

We booked directly with the hostel and was promised a reply within 24 hours. The reply never came and I was nervous because it was a weekend stay and other hostels were full. I sent an email and luckily my reservation was confirmed immediately. The hostel was very run down. Located on the 3rd floor, with a narrow staircase and...

After booking via Agoda, we got an email from kimchee, with directions and a note "Our reception opens at 9am and closes at 11.30pm. If you are arriving earlier than 9am or later than 11.30pm, please let us know in your reply so that we can take note." As our flight reaches Incheon Airport at 10.35pm, I replied to the...

Stayed here for 9 nights in late July/early August. The Kimchee staff, especially Derrick, are helpful and friendly. Derrick is fun and often stays after closing to visit with guests and hang out. The guesthouse staff will do your laundry for you about $3, which was very useful since we were visiting during one of the hottest times of the...

One of the friendliest guesthouses I have stayed in my travels. Their staff can speak really fluent English: everything from planning your iterenaries to a simple chitchat! Everyone here is relaxed and smiling, usually you have haggard staff at receptions but here, its different. The room is really basic and tidy but enough for a good night rest. If the...

We all 8 people from Bangkok stayed at Kimchee Myeongdong guesthouse for 6 nights at a reasonable price (very cheap ^^) and clean. Derrick, a staff there was friendly and willing to help you carry the luggages (the best part :P) The only disadvantage of this guesthouse is that you have to climb up 3-storey building, but there was not...
