Cozzzy Guesthouse is located in a quite neighbourhood opposite the vibrant n happening area in the Hongik University area. We have been to Korea many times. For a first timer to Cozzy Guesthouse, it is quite a distance to walk from Exit 1 of the Hongik University subway station especially during winter night. Ms Sun the host is nice lady...

Being my first time in Korea I hesitated that service people's kidness and hotel comfort would satisfy my spanish standards. Truth is that, for a positive surprise, it overtake my expectactions in the good way. I strongly recommend to visit Korea, and if possible go to Cozzzy Guesthouse.

Anyeong!!!! I've been to korea for 14 times already, but this visit was the best! The guesthouse is welcoming in itself. And it became more welcoming because of the people there. Very helpful and accommodating. They even helped us manage our tour. Because of them our NAMi island tour became possible. (Thank you soo much Mr. GI) They even gave...

Clean room, with very nice and friendly staff who supported me during my whole stay. I can only recommend this guesthouse, as it has the perfect location and neighbourhood and one of the nicest people I met during my stay in Korea I met here. Bright warm and friendly atmosphere and very cheap for what you get for your money....

I have stayed in over 10 different guesthouses in Seoul, and especially Hongdae! If you want to have it comfortable and cosy with the most helpful staff, this is your place!! It's 5-10 minutes walk to everything Hongdae has to offer with bars, clubs and live music outside! But you can also go out in the evening/night with a cup...

We spent our last weekend in Korea in this cosy hostel. First impressions were good, greeted by friendly staff in a very well presented and decorated communal area. One of the members of staff booked us on a DMZ tour for the following day and the other took our laundry so we felt well catered for. The cleanliness of the...

Staying in Hongdae

Neighbourhood Profile
Hongdae
Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.

“The 4-bunk bed rooms on the 1st floor gives you a home feeling because you feel more connected with everyone in the living room. There's also 2 shower rooms and a bathroom. However for a Korean feel and a different experience, I would recommend the the Korean room (Ondol Room). Right next to the deck, you would never feel too lazy to climb upstairs just to chill in the deck. For the Korean room, the bathroom and the shower are together.”
