Stayed here for 3 nights with the family (kids-12 and 4). We got the Family Suite (2 nights) and the Family Twin (1 night). Both had 2 queen beds. We loved our stay because when you book thru the hotel's site they give free breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are courteous. The location is in the heart...

Metro Hotel was as good as I expected from the reviews. The hotel itself is overall clean, the size of the room we had (two queens) was very large especially for Asia, more than enough room for 3 adults (1 parent, 2 adult children). The lobby is located on the 9th floor. You can open the front door by pressing...

We stayed here for six nights and it certainly did not disappoint. We arrived at around ten in the evening with two kids aged 7 and 4 and booked a Comfort Twin. We had 4 luggages and no one helped us with our things, which we initially thought was quite unusual. Check-in was a breeze and after less than 5...

I stay in this hotel with my friend for 5 days 4 nights in May 17. The location is perfect - very near to myeongdong shopping street, Eujiro 1 train station and airport bus stop (ibis hotel). The complimentary breakfast (bcoz I book directly on hotel website) provided is simple but good (especially the croissant), food is always replenish until...

The metro hotel is in the myeondong district of Seoul which is one of the main shopping areas - there are other areas of Seoul which are potentially a little more upmarket but Myeondong has a very vibrant culture with everything from exclusive dress shops to market stalls selling local food. Its also within a 10 minute walking distance of...

This hotel is a treasured find! I love its location, behind the Eujiro-1 metro station with Starbucks and 7-11 just below, lots of eateries and in the middle of Myeongdong shopping area, right across Lotte department store, a short walk to airport limousine bus stop. Staff are very helpful and polite too. It is also nice to have the simple...

I stay in this place in the Easter of 2017 with my family. -The breakfast tastes better than my previous stay in 2015. -The hotel didn't provide T-money card and gift to kid like before but not a problem. - the laundry room is very busy, suggest the hotel to buy washing machine with speedy mode or provide more washing...

Very near everything in Myeongdong. Walking distance to sites within the area. If your going on a shopping trip, this is a good place to stay. It's near Euljiro 1-ga station and has many dining options around. Room size is good, bathroom is clean, bed and pillows are comfy, breakfast buffet was nice with a mix of Korean and International...

Stayed here with our kids and it has a fun vibe with its decor. The location is ideal. Shopping and food once you exit and coffee shops and restos are all around. The room is big and clean, and there's a Starbucks on the ground floor. There are cafes and convenience stores nearby that make it easy to get snacks...

had a wonderful four night stay in this well located hotel in Myeong Dong. Check in was good and quick. Arrived late at night around 10PM, and locating a place to eat was not difficult. Hotel was surrounded by so many kinds of restaurant including a 7-11 convenience store. Buffet breakfast was included with our accommodation and entrees changed everyday....

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
