No words could describe how dreadful it was. Filthy room, smelly sheets, dirty towels, nothing worked! toilet didn't flush, drain in the bathroom didn't work, giant dust mites biting while we sleep. dirt, dirt, dirt, everywhere! dodgy elevator, dusty balcony, sticky door knob. nothing huge, but we lost money inside our room! I could go on and on !!! My advice is...

This hotel was scary! The elevator did not have any walls, you could literally see the cables and it can only take a Maximum of 3 persons as the sign says on it. You have to take the elevator up to the hotel since the stairway is closed, so if you are 3 persons or more With luggage on the...

I seriously felt like in hostel, the movie i arrived there at 3 am in the night, and i felt like walking into hell, there was candle light all over spider web in my face and that was only the hallway towards the reception, later on in the room me and my wife had serious doubts of our safty,t so...

It's hideous. It's hard to find. And dirty, creepy, scary. And I grew up in Egypt! Even with my no-longer-fluent Arabic the people were unhelpful and rude. We paid for 2 rooms, they gave us one and claimed they were fully booked. I guess by all the mosquitoes and roaches. The toilet leaked, the water came out as steam, the...

I booked this hotel through Expedia. The rating was 3 out of 5. Comparing this rating with other hotels I stayed at, I thought it was not too bad.... What an absolute shock getting there 8PM at night. The hotel entrance is in a very dark, dangerous alley. The reception is on the 3rd floor. There is a steel cage...

The hotel didnt running water or ac as advertised. I dont think it was cleaned in years. The beds had bugs and we were greeted with poop floating in the toilet which we couldnt flush because there was no running water. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

The common area as you arrive looks nice, don't be fooled! The rooms are filthy (floors etc had not been cleaned in years, there were layers of dust and dirt, the water back up in the drain in the shower) and dangerous (power points without covers, open sewerage drains etc). Our first room had no hot water but we were...

A friend and I stayed at the Gresham for four nights. For two people, it was the same price as some of the Hostels in the area and for privacy, air conditioning, and an excellent staff it was very enjoyable. Anyone staying in Cairo on a budget, the Gresham is a great place to stay.
