Always a pleasure to stay here after a long period of work, staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially Qamar at the front desk, the place is very clean and the food and hotel facilities are amazing
Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Qamar on the front desk was very helpful and made my stay very easy and was at my disposal every step of the way. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely hotel.
I stayed there a couple of weeks ago for a weekend with my wife, we usually are disappointed with hotels ever since the covid pandemic started, But Marriot never fails to impress, amazing service, rooms and food, Will always be one of my favorite hotels
My stay here was originally for 4 nights, and due to personal circumstances i had to extend multiple times. A stay of 8 nights gave me enough time to experience most of what this hotel has to offer and give you a very honest, unbiased opinion you can use while making a decision whether to stay here. (scroll down for SUMMARY) Room: 2/5 Arrived at 11 PM, upon inspecting it was obvious the room hadnt been checked pre arrival. some of the lights weren't working, the bathtub handle didnt work properly, the shower dripped water, and the telephones in the room did not work. Paying for a 5 star room, a smooth arrival to a clean and prepared room is the least you should expect. Management failed to provide this. The AC unit in the room was as loud as the streets of Cairo on a thursday afternoon, did not provide the quality sleep i was looking for. On the other hand, the room had an excellent view of the nile. Food: 1/5 -If you want to start your day with a healthy fresh breakfast, this is definitely not your place. The petite buffet is always overcrowded, no que in place you need to push your way through other guests to get the chef to hand you what you want. The options are incredibly limited for a 5 star hotel. I can name what was served by heart as the options were never changed. -The employees have zero knowledge about the products, I went to the lobby bakery and asked two employees if the chocolate cake had any type of berries inside, both denied and insisted it was pure chocolate. As i dipped my spoon in the cake, raspberry sauce oozed out. I would be careful if you have any allergies, clearly something they dont care about. - I tried other outlets, all of them shared two things, slow service and a careless attitude. I complained about a dish and returned it almost untouched only to be surprised by a nod from the waiter and to see the item printed first thing on the bill. No one came to apologize on any of the incidents. Service: - Mostly unprofessional with a few exceptions: At one point i had to fix something at reception, one female agent ( i wont mention her name for the sake of her professional reputation) stood behind the agent i was interacting with him and started whispering to him something about my request. I asked her not to do that, and she started arguing for a good 2 minutes lecturing me on how i was wrong, and my request did not make any sense to her. -I asked one of the receptionists to meet the FO manager, or any department head to discuss an issue, my request was never honored, and not the slightest gesture of respect was offered, not even a call back to tell me the heads were busy. I found that to be slightly disrespectful. Communication: The app was a great way to communicate with the tean, however it was cut mid way through my stay, and although i informed reception, no one cared and i couldnt use it for the rest of my stay. Every time i extended (Twice) i would confirm with reception in the morning only to receive a phone call at four pm asking me to checkout... Experience: -Concierge team was never available, I stood infront of their dedicated desk for 5 minuted without anyone approaching me. -Not one person from the guest relations team got in touch with me duting my 8 day stay to check on how things were going, or to follow up with my requests. -Some employees are misinformed, and will either give you wrong information, or ask you to call 5. Exceptions: My stay wasnt all that bad, there are some employees who i felt like they put effort in trying to improve my stay, Ahmed, Nourhan, and reda from front office were all understanding, patient, and polite. Mai at breakfast was always smiling and cheerful and i thank them all for their exceptional service. SUMMARY: I chose this hotel with some expectations set in mind, including: getting a good night sleep, a nice shower, friendly service, and good food. None of my expectations were matched, and thus if you have the same expectations I do not recommend you stay at this hotel. The location is a great advantage, as you can stroll through zamalek any time without taking a taxi. However, if you are looking for a good 5 star experience, there are other hotels with the same price tag that will offer you a better experience.…
As a marriott bonvey member , i heard that this hotel is one of marriott hotels. so i tried to make reservation but their team was tough and their attitude was very negative as five star hotel i expect different attitude . sorry to say that i will not re comment this hotel to anybody . really disappointed .
