I stayed here as the beginning of a group tour and to be honest, I liked it. I was fortunate to receive a remodelled room with new furniture, satellite TV, and a clean and comfortable washroom. Just ask for a room on the fourth or fifth floor and you should be ok.

The hotel is in a fairly quiet street in Dokki. There was a large open foyer containing a couple of small souvenir shops. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. There was a restaurant on the ground floor and a cafe on the first floor. The room was drab but comfortable. A colour TV, a fridge and some sturdy furniture....

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour group. The first night, I got a crappy older room. It was dark and furniture was old. The bed was clean and there was warm water in the shower - which is all I really need for 1 night anyways. No cockroaches or any other bugs, thank God. The 2nd...

My family and I stayed at this hotel with our tour group. Upon arrival we were suppose to have 2 rooms, but for some reason they had 'no idea' of this. So we got one room for the 3 of us, which im glad we did. this didn't bother us. we were then taken to our room by 2 employee's....

We were booked into the Santana by Imaginative. We didn't expect 5 stars, but we certainly weren't ready for the dirty, poorly maintained room that we were given. We were too tired the first night to complain, but complain the next day we did. We were then given a much better room. Still not 5, or 4 star, but what...

The Santana Cairo. The Santana is located in what would have been a nice and peaceful street had there been no building construction across the road. The construction wouldn’t have mattered if it was done during the day, but at times they were still doing it when we went to bed at 9 o’clock sometimes even later. Upon arriving at...

The Santana hotel is located in the Doqqi area of Cairo. It is on a quiet street away from traffic, but close enough to walk to downtown (20 min). The lobby and restaurant area is clean and nice. The hotel has remodeled the rooms on the fourth and fifth floors, these rooms were clean and modern with flat screen TV,...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the first 2 days of our tour with Imaginative Traveller (Egypt and Jordan). Upon arriving at the Santana, my first impression was that the hotel looked a little run down. The employees barely spoke any English. On our first night we were escorted to our first room on the third floor by a...

Our family was booked at this hotel through our tour group. Most visitors to Cairo, ourselves included, receive a huge culture shock when they first enter Cairo. If you’re reading these reviews you’ll be far more prepared for it. Accommodation standards in Egypt are far different than other parts of the world. That being said, the Santana Hotel is pretty...
