The hotel is very central, close to tahir but far enough for being safe. One day there was a riot with 3 people being killed, we didnt have any problems at the hotel's location. People were friendly but only very helpfull in selling their own trips. we asked if they could call a hostel at Luxor for us, they only...

Hostel is conveniently located near Midan Tahrir (main square) meaning that it is easy to take metro to any direction and Egyptian museum is just few steps away. However, the rooms are quite old, without any charm and shared bathroom is really really basic and small. Breakfast is below average (and average is not high either in Egypt) and there...

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and nicer - our room was ready when we arrived even though it was 7:00 am, they organised a really good value trip to the pyramids with a knowledgeable driver, and they even gave us a discount because of our name! The room was better than expected considering the price, comfortable, with air...

We arrived around 7:00a.m. from overnight train in Luxor. The owner ask the lady clean the room for us since there're family just left....

Pro: -We booked shortnotice, didn't know if it's going to work out, and got picked up at the Airport! - Its pretty quiet for it's location in the middle of downtown. - nice atmosphere and friendly staff - Staff can give you helpful information and don't try to press one of their tours on you. Con: -Their website is misleading...

As for value for money you can't fund a better spot in Cairo. A few points to note - the average taxi driver will not have a clue how to find this place so make use of the shuttle bus (same goes for any hotel in Cairo). Sara Hotel starts on the 6th floor of a building - there is...

This is a hostel not the Hilton, rooms are basic and clean. I booked this hostel because of the free airport pick up but it was a much better experience than expected. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Emails were answered quickly. I was there during a religious holiday and the owner even shared a special meal with me....

Arrived in Cairo after a long and exhausting trip with an all-night stopover and no sleep. Booked a single room on their website the day before, received a confirmation email within a couple of hours. Location is suberb. In Downtown - only two mins walk from Tahrir Sqare and the Sadat metro station. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean rooms that...

“A room with shower inside is the best option and was A$25 for a double, including light breakfast...great value I thought. There are two floors of rooms and you have a choice.”

“ask for the free pickup at the airport if you stay minimum two nights. This is a KEY service when you arrive late at night. I do not know any other hostel providing this service. Very close to the Sara Inn you can find a take out and a restaurant (very good and cheap) at KAZA'S in Ksar el nil (two blocks away) Highly recommended.”
