It was my first visit to Old Cataract, it's a luxury hotel, fabulous view and a very decent, polite, smiling and professional staff. The hotel itself is an experience, Don't miss the 1902 restaurant I'd like to thank the staff as well as the management team for their effort

We are regular travellers to Egypt but this was the first time we stayed at the Old Cataract Hotel and it will be our last. The location is stunning, the hotel and the grounds were beautiful and we were upgraded to a luxury room however some of the floor managers/head waiters or the men in suits as we liked to...

The Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan is an absolutely stunning hotel. It displays rich history and truly gives you a flavor of Aswan. The hotel truly resembles the laid-back ambience that Aswan is known for. I shared a room with a colleague and it was stunning! There was ample space to move around and the bathrooms were clean and quite...

Guests may forget what you said but they do not forget how you said it. Unfortunately this knowledge is ignored here. My stay left a bitter after-taste and I will not return or recommend this Hotel. - Let me start with the most crucial: Staff attitude. Superficial and poorly trained for this hotel class. I would say at the edge...

This is my second stay here and I was happy it was a little warmer this time. We were upgraded to a suite, on the top floor overlooking the pool and the Nile. It was spectacular. The room was wonderful. Plenty (plenty) of closet space, large bathroom with a towel warmer (that I could not get to work), comfy bed...

This is an amazing hotel. The rooms are suites larger then most New York apartments. The bathroom is marble with double vanities. The balconies stretch across both the bedroom and bathroom with both a seating area and a separate lounging area. Every room has an amazing view of the Nile. The only problem is the service. It took 2 hours...

One of the best hotels I visited during the last couple of years, amazing view, big rooms, all facilities in room (free water/ coffee/ Tea/ boiler, expresso machine/ hair dryer/ mini bar/ LED tv/ free WIFI/ big terrace), pool, heated pool, SPA, Very friendly and warm service. Ancient place take you to the beginning of the 20th Century.

The bad experience started with the check-in: We were welcomed by a young lady, received a welcome drink, she took and returned our passports and then vanished. When she did not reappear after 15 Min we went to the reception where we were told that the room was not ready. Ok, that is possible at 2pm, but would you just...

We had amazing visit to the Old Cataract. Stayed in a Nile Suite overlooking the river. Dinner on the Terrace was perfect after a long day of sight seeing. Stay very helpful. Breakfast buffet enough for the day!

We were immensely looking forward to staying at the Old Cataract Hotel for its historic ambience, and that did not disappoint. The hotel is in a great location with awesome views and the grounds are well kept and picturesque. We stayed in February, and while it was freezing everywhere else in Egypt it was lovely to sit on our Nile-view...
