Ashraf, the owner, and his staff are some of the most hospitable people I have encountered. The lodge was clean, charming, quiet, and provided beautiful views of the West Bank. Beyond the continental breakfasts we also chose and enjoyed the traditional Egyptian lunches and dinners there as well. The location is ideal for Luxor: relaxing and quite close a drive... More

We ended up at the Desert Paradise Lodge quite by accident (see our Scorpion House review). It was around midnight, it was off the tourist season and there was no one currently staying at the hotel. We were a major inconvenience, but they took us in with opened arms when they could have easily turned us way. That says a... More

After 2011 and 2012 and 2013 we were in Desert Paradise Lodge again! Our aim is still the same: not to be at home in the holiday season, but wanted to go somewhere there is warmer and more sunny than in Hungary, and we did not want any Christmas gala dinner and/or New Year’s eve party and so. Nice surprise... More

I usually stay on east bank in one of the large hotels. Tried the West Bank for a change and decided on this hotel. I must say that this was a most relaxing calm place away from the hustle and bustle but near enough for a visit. Amazing views and so close to valley of the kings and others. Exceptionally... More

A fantastic place to visit. Leave all your cares behind when you stay here. Relax in spotlessly clean traditional hotel on the west and of the Nile. Ashraf and his staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Organising trips and transfers. The food is delicious, fresh tasty and filling. The views breathtaking. The pool was refreshing in the egyptian sun. Can't... More

I was at the hotel for a week and it was absolutely wonderful. The place is like a fatamorgana. The garden is lush and beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We ate at the hotel every day and the food was delicious! The last night of the week... More

I have spent 9 days at Desert Paradise Lodge and it feels like home. It´s a wonderful little hotel with excellent service and the best authentic chef who prepares lovely meals.
