We stayed at the Sonesta St George during the Easter break and the hotel stay was fabulous. The hotel is lovely, staff are very attentive, rooms are spacious, clean and very comfy. We have stayed in many hotels around the world and this one has to be up there as one of the best. Our 1 week stay wasn't nearly...

Luxor is a holiday resort only for those interested in Egyptian antiquities and experiencing a different culture. Do not go there if you just want sun, sand and nightlife. Recommended trips are a visit to the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple especially the sound and light show, and an early morning balloon trip over the desert. The balloon trip...

Room was comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the Nile. Put you up bed added for 13 year old was comfortable and as big as the other...

The Sonesta is an excellent hotel, one of the best in Luxor. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and all make your stay very comfortable. The only downside is the cost of drinks and food in the hotel, consequently we ate outside the hotel every evening. There are some very good restaurants a short walk from the hotel....

We stayed in a half a dozen hotels during our trip to Egypt, and this was the best of the lot. Great rooms -- nicely appointed, flat screen tvs, super showers, awesome views, and a great bed... Services were good -- we were half way through our trip and had them launder some of our clothes. They ironed my socks!...

Great week in a great hotel over Easter 2009. Rooms very good - all have (small) balconies and the side Nile view is all you need as you still get a great view (we were on 5th floor). Pool area is great - plenty of space and never a problem with beds whatever the time. The pool area has an...

The hotel has a lovely reception area, with a small 24 hour cafe. The pool was smaller than expected but not a disappointment. There was still room for a pool bar! Our room didn't have a great view but that was fine because we spent most of your time by the pool or on trips. It was very clean and...

Our stay was very brief but lovely. The rooms were large and delightfully decorated in Egyptian kitsch, it was great. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and very helpful. But my favourite part of the hotel has to be the bathroom. It was decked out in brown marble with gold accents. The tub was a engineering marvel with a rain...
