I've stayed in a number of the hotels that are often classed as 'budget' hotels over the years. This year I decided i'd try to Lotus for the first time. I was not disappointed. As a general rule, I don't actually like staying in the southern part of Luxor, but once I was inside the Lotus I felt comfortable. Reception...

Reception checked us in ok, but didn't seem to know how long we were staying. Room was ok, although a bit dated it had a balcony with a side on view to the pool and Nile. Room has fridge and TV, which we didn't use, air con/heating that didn't work, a luke warm shower, not great in December. The breakfast...

Was pretty happy with this place, considering the price. The location is a bit of a hassle, about 10 or 15 minutes walk from Luxor Temple but it's right on the Nile and the view is great. Almost all the rooms face the river so there's not too much street noise. Room was very decent and cleaned daily. Ate in...

The reception and terrace were nice but the rooms were very small and had that tired and well used feeling. Some of the staff were very helpful but most didnt seem interested in helping guests just playing on their phones or were poorly trained. Breakfast became a trial as most days the chef had to found, the toast had to...

It was a really bad experience. I hate the hotel . Staff are so so so rude. They doesn't know how to talk to guests. Reception not helpful and annoying, they keep calling and waking u up for stupid reasons.

What a lovely hotel. So safe as well as it's used by the police force for Training sessions. Where to start. Well breakfast wouldn't be right without the charming Ahmed the elder of the Ahmed's as there were 3. Nothing was too much trouble. Chef Adil made the best eggs. Poolside another Ahmed looked after your food and drinks needs....

I have stayed many times in the Lotus hotel and have always enjoyed my stay. The location is great with beautiful views of the Nile and West Bank. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily and provide clean towels each day. There is a buffet breakfast if there is enough guests, otherwise a plated meal, ask...

We needed a short break due to late night flight. Our guide pointed us to this hotel for $25. The aircon was bad, the bathroom stinking of cig smoke, the bathtub dirty and broken. We checked out and asked for receipt but were given a plain paper slip with $25 wrritten and a stamp. We asked for formal receipt on...

Great view of the Nile & West Bank, beautiful sunsets from the balcony or the patio by the Nile. Room was clean with basics which suits us as we prefer to spend money on adventures, food and sightseeing. The central location makes it easy to find and a great point to explore Luxor from on foot.We were just looking for...
