A very clean & friendly hostel in the very safe & posh Karen district of Nairobi. Handy for Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum & The David Sheldrick Centre all very short matatu rides away. The new premises in St Hellen's Lane are spick & span & the staff are so friendly. The wifi is excellent & the...

The city isn't the safest but certain campsites have figures a budget safe option for travellers. This place is nice, cozy and very friendly. I stayed here for a day in a camp outside and it was a good experience. They have a nice common area to hang around and play some board games or read.

Travel dates between Jan 15-26 2015 Milimani Backpackers is currently located on St Helen street in Karen, a suburb of Nairobi about 15 K (1 hour by taxi or 1.5 hours by public transport) from the center. The neighborhood is very residential and nice. There are no shops you can walk to, as a matter of fact you cannot walk...

When we stayed in September and October 2014 it was actually when the Backpackers was located near Mutambato Road and Upper Hill, rather than Karen. However, from what I can glean, the management of the hostel is still the same, so some elements of our stay are worth sharing. The majority of staff members were perfectly chatty and pleasant during...

I highly recommend 3-day Maasai Mara Safari with Andrew and Ben. Fantastic experience and very professional guide and chef. We felt very secure and looked after. No delays, absolutely no problems. Most importantly we had a chance to see the big five. Very good value for money. I will be definately coming back again!

This is a peaceful place to stay. They moved lately to this new place. Cool, shady garden and clean rooms. Livingroom has nice couches and the wifi is good. Safaris can be booked also, bit cheaper than the usual fees in Kenya.

We stayed in Milimani Backpackers several times during December/January 2014/2015 between different trips in Kenya (safari, beach, Mt. Kenya). We stayed in a private room (called Simba). Accommodation The room was very big and had its own balcony and toilets/shower. It was clean and the equipment was fine, not luxury but perfect suited for own needs. The WiFi Connection was...

First review I´ve ever written, but this needs to be known… Summary: Company delays departure and makes you do all your drives within a 24 hour timeframe so that they only have to pay for one day instead of two. They then produce a lot of lies and try to cover it up. Background: Apparently the Milimani Backpackers have moved...

Nice place, mostly because Nairobi lacks other nice hostels or campsites. Dorms are fine. Hot showers once in a while. Staff is very keen on the money, which is sometimes a little annoying. The safes are charged for, even if you use your own padlock. No self-catering facilities and dinner is quite expensive (for budget backpackers), which is frustrating given...

Great atmosphere, cozy place, Friendly staff. It has tv, books, and give & take box for backpackers. Dorms are fine and clean, hot showers. Check for Milimani location, since they move around a lot. A good place to relax for a few days in nairobi.

Thank Ariel K
