This very old hotel (1969) is situated in Nairobi city centre. I rated hotel as three stars because it is not what you expect from Hilton level. Standard room was good, with big windows and a nice view. The shower was uncleaned. Sheets of water were splashing in all driections and the water head was weak. Hair dryer was as...

Unbiased review following my recent stay at checkout at the last hour, the GM threatened me on in house phone that he would call the police, if I did not pay a small bill of about £16 for the laundry dept. I requested the GM to please come to the room and to see for himself the iron which I...

The Hilton hotel chain is synonymous for world class service, accommodation wherever on our planet. However, it is with some disappointment that I stayed at the Hilton Nairobi a couple of weeks ago. In a nutshell: traffic is hellish in downtown centre Nairobi (not really Hilton's fault I might add!), staff is superb, professional, helpful, caring and tons of local...

I appreciated the antique decor, but not the building itself desperately needs maintenance. The walls and ceiling are yellowing and blackening in large areas, starting at the entrance and going throughout the building. Up in the rooms (both in standard and upscale ), the mold has set in on the bathroom walls; the fixtures are over a decade old and...

Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Was delighted to be served a Ugandan "matooke" meal at breakfast which made me feel very much at home. Its location in the town centre is a plus and makes it easy to have access to various amenities. Besides, I thought it was an excellent service for the price.

The Nairobi Hilton is showing a bit of age, but the same cannot be said of its service ethic. While the hotel needs updates in many areas to keep pace with the very high quality competition nearby from the likes of Serena, the service and attention to detail really set this hotel apart. Our conference activities in the hotel demanded...

Great reception by staff, quiet, clean and fantastic location. I checked in pretty late but was still attended to with a smile. All you need is within walking...

Hotel per- se was first rate. No complaints. Except I wished I got a room without a column in the middle. Otherwise the room was OK. Does look like the bathroom needs refurbishments but I guess the Hotel knows that. Staff very courteous and befitting of the brand.
