JAMES the driver was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and competent. I wish he would move to the U.S. so he could be my private driver. Overall, staying at the hotel was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler.

In my recent 8 night stay, I was welcomed each day by staff members who were always willing to go the extra mile to assist me. While the hotel rooms are a bit outdated, the quality and friendliness of the staff and other facilities keeps people coming back. I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Nairobi.

Very welcoming, courteous staff, great service. Security, a high priority, was dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Reception arrangements were quickly dealt with by extremely helpful and pleasant staff. All facilities (that we used) were staffed by very helpful staff, and we quickly felt at home. The room afforded a good view of the Nairobi skyline. All in...

We were on a business trip in Nairobi and chose to stay in Hilton. The location is excellent, with many souvenir shops and supermarkets. It is also in the heart of the city. What we liked most, however, was that all cars entering the hotel and the bags were checked, giving us some reassurance, after the recent attack on a mall....

This very old hotel (1969) is situated in Nairobi city centre. I rated hotel as three stars because it is not what you expect from Hilton level. Standard room was good, with big windows and a nice view. The shower was uncleaned. Sheets of water were splashing in all driections and the water head was weak. Hair dryer was as...

Unbiased review following my recent stay at checkout at the last hour, the GM threatened me on in house phone that he would call the police, if I did not pay a small bill of about £16 for the laundry dept. I requested the GM to please come to the room and to see for himself the iron which I...

The Hilton hotel chain is synonymous for world class service, accommodation wherever on our planet. However, it is with some disappointment that I stayed at the Hilton Nairobi a couple of weeks ago. In a nutshell: traffic is hellish in downtown centre Nairobi (not really Hilton's fault I might add!), staff is superb, professional, helpful, caring and tons of local...

I appreciated the antique decor, but not the building itself desperately needs maintenance. The walls and ceiling are yellowing and blackening in large areas, starting at the entrance and going throughout the building. Up in the rooms (both in standard and upscale ), the mold has set in on the bathroom walls; the fixtures are over a decade old and...

Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Was delighted to be served a Ugandan "matooke" meal at breakfast which made me feel very much at home. Its location in the town centre is a plus and makes it easy to have access to various amenities. Besides, I thought it was an excellent service for the price.
