The rooms are nice compared to most hotels in Nairobi for the same cost. I particularly liked the bathroom which is beautiful albeit small. Even got a newspapers each morning for the two days i stayed. However a bit noisy during weekends, also choice breakfast item is a bit limited.

Economical rooms - may be good for backpackers only - they have pub n club in the same premises n hence more noisy drum sound in rooms also - very limited choice for veg. Since this situated in parkland area which is business location it is easy to commute to visit . Do not take matador share vans if you...

The hotel is horrible. Do not book unless you want to stay up until 5am. Extremely loud music - the walls were vibrating as we were hopelessly trying to sleep. The reception should at least have noted this upon check-in.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Every night there was a party with DJ playing some awesome track with people dancing whole night. You actually don't have to go outside to party. You will see people coming to this place late in the nights. Very good food with nice ambiance. Rooms are comparatively small but cozy and well maintained. Friendly and...

Ideal place to stay in Nairobi when you want spacious and clean rooms with all necessities, warm and friendly staff combined with a top restaurant and a night club. The Klubhouse is a fantastic place to go out with friends, dance or just play a game of pool.

K1 is the only club in Kenya with events every day of the week. And when I say events I mean an all rounded entertainment spot. From staff parties to your normal gig. Superb ambiance, great staff, polite crowd...the list is endless. Just from the manner that you are received at the entrance, to the service you get, right to...

I visited K1 a.k.a Klub House or Parklands Shade Hotel for the first time this Friday and had a fantastic time. They happened to be having Karaoke supported by a live band and that was super fantastic. It offered an opportunity to appreciate talent (I was amazed at the voices that performed), showcase talent or just have fun trying to...

they have around 10 pool tables, well maintained, and during daytime it is quiet and peacefull there, so check it out, its 70ksh to 100ksh for a game, and its the best in Nairobi, their food variety is not all that good, prices are average for a club, it only attracts me because of the Pool tables :)

Usually I have to stay in traditional Hotels around the world. When I'm in Nairobi I always choose my favourite hotel - K1. Noisy location, clean, nicely located and everything is happening outside your door. Nice, friendly staff. I continue to come back. Best value place if you don't need a quiet place to sleep.

I only got to learn of this hotel late. I have been to the Restaurant a dozen times and I always enjoy the drinks and food there. I also enjoy the screens for watching football. The food I have eaten there has been well cooked, except one day when I believe the chef accidentally spilled chilli on my food. I...

“Make sure you check out your room before booking in, they can vary in quality of decor - don't be afraid to reject the first one you see, or look at a couple. Check the lock on the door is a good one.”
