I have stayed at this hotel many times because of the location, fellow tourists, great pool. After 12 years of visiting it I will never return. It has gone from a 5 rating to a 0.. food is terrible (if they have any), management is horrific, everything is old and falling apart. Even the staff is embarrassed. Do Not recommend... More

Great view from top floors great balconies. All interior from old times but nice. great pool but service and maintenance of whole hotel could be better. Had to pay in advance which is not common. Overcharged for a visitor s breakfast. But good location for an ok price.

This hotel was once one of the best in Nairobi. Alas it has become one of the least so of late. Largely due to poor management, demoralised staff and a general couldn't care less attitude on the part of the general management who fail miserably to answer client problems, live up to agreements, demand cash whenever possible (I wonder why)... Part of the Intrepid safari tour - actually giving a worse first impression (worn down furniture, not sure about any other living things in the bathroom, very basic bed equipment) about Nairobi than it actually is. The colleagues that tried extending the stay in this hotel had to pay extremely much. The restaurant/ bar is awfully slow even when there... More

Expensive for what it is - a dirty, run down, hovel that would cost about $10 a night if you were in India. Intrepid locks you into staying there if you are on one of their tours, and won't offer a refund because they have such rigid refund policies. This was the start of our experience with Intrepid, and it... More

We've walked in looking for a 1 night accomodation. We've accepted to stay there and pay without looking at the room before because we were really tired. Staff at the reception (and in general) is very welcoming and nice and friendly. The hotel is awful!! The wrost thing is that the managment doesn't do anything to improve what's wrong. And... More

Stay somewhere else even if you've booked an Intrepid tour. Very sad to see an Aussie travel company using this hotel as an introduction to there corporate logo. Hotel staff tell guests not to leave any valuables in the rooms - even they don't trust the rooms. Some rooms now have double locks on the wooden doors however the huge... More

This is a basic, clean hotel. Good beds and bed linen. The building and furnishings are dated and could do with some maintenance, a lick of paint and a bit of upgrading. Shower is fine, lots of hot water. The wifi doesn't work in the (better) rooms on the upper floors, but it is adequate in the lobby and garden.... More
