Debbie, Fuzz and team made our stay unforgettable. From setting foot on Manda beach when our boat - from Lamu airport - arrived we were enchanted. We could not believe that such a place existed other than in films - rooms with windows only covered by muslin gently flapping in the breeze, ceiling fans lazily turning under the great big...

Thank you so much for your review on the lodge and wonderful that you had Fuzz and Debbie to look after you. Keeping the buffalo going is a challenge and I know it was good and warm whilst you were there. We hope to welcome you back one day and please let your friends know back home where we are!

From the time we arrived (2 families with children aged 9-12) Debbie (manager) and her staff went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing time! The food was delicious and the children catered for amazingly well! We sailed, paddle boarded, kayaked, fished, swam, visited Lamu and explored Manda Island as well as fitting in some relaxation time!...

Thank you for your wonderful review. We value all that you have written as it gives a good idea that Manda is a family friendly destination. It has been our home for many years and it is wonderful to see guests returning to our little piece of paradise. I will make sure Debbie reads your praise for her and the...

We stayed four nights at this amazing hotel. We had a room which was right on the sea wall facing the Indian ocean. Azza the water buck comes everyday to visit. She was orphaned but is ever so friendly. Every meal was wonderful but the crab salad was my favourite. The reef is just 10 minutes by boat from the...

My room looked out to the Indian Ocean.I had a swinging bed on the porch & a comfy bed inside. Snorkeling was wonderful on a typical coral reef along with an afternoon drive through the island forest with Bushbuck & Yellow Baboons & loads of fantastic bird sightings. The food was fantastic! The Pool was fabulous & loads of water...

We visited in the middle of a severe drought, so drinkable water was at a premium for both people and animals, yet our hosts ensured we had all we needed. The tent bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, with most of them fronting on the sea wall. When the tide is high, the water was lapping just yards from my door....

Thank you for your comments and we are very happy you enjoyed your stay. It is tough times for the all when there is no fresh water on the island. We are working on a plan to buy a new de- salinator which will increase the amount of water we can produce at a lesser cost than at present. We...

After a 4 year gap we have just returned from a 5 day stay at Manda and it is as wonderful as ever. It has always been one of my favourite places by the sea and it is a great place to relax, eat fantastic fresh food, dine under the stars on the beach, make new friends at the bar,...

This is an amazing place to go to. I haven't written any other reviews but this place deserves one ! We live in the UK and had some concerns towards Kenya's Northern Coast. Before going we asked a lot of Kenyans, and in particular,Fuzz, who runs Manda Bay and got the 'on the ground' accurate update, all of whom gave...

I stayed here for 2 nights in one of the beach front villas. The place is so beautiful and serene. A nice secluded getaway and perfect getaway from city life. Fuzz was a great host as were his staff. I highly recommend it! Definitely going back again.

Last weekend my wife and I had the privilege to stay at Manda Bay, a hidden gem on Manda island near Lamu. What did we do? Apart from a tour through Lamu town (which can only be reached by boat in about 20 minutes) as little as possible! But we did enjoy a spacious and luxurious cabin on the beach....
