In short: Karen Blixen Camp was great. In terms of value for money, we got an amazing experience worth every penny. Felt extremely well taken care of and everyone felt like they were safe at all times. The pictures give a very good representation of how the camp looks and feels. Thanks to all in the managing staff for being...

This is the fifth time I have been on a safari in Kenya and this has to be the best camp and safari experience to date. The animals in the area of the Mara North Conservancy are prolific. During a three day, two night stay I saw 19 lions including cubs, three cheetah, a leopard and a myriad of other...

We stayed in the camp for 3 nights in January 2017. This was my first visit to Africa, and first time going on safari, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was more than impressed! The camp is set right on the river, with a wonderful view from the eating area of a whole variety of animals who...

We stayed in the Karen Blixen Tended Camp for four nights in February 2017. The camp is fantastic. Suited on the Mara river, the tents are very luxuries, with plenty of space, a comfortable bed and a beautiful porch overlooking the river. (All tents have a view on the river). The staff are amazing and happy to help out with...

We were very lucky to spend two nights.....it was a truly wonderful experience. Not just the amazing safari drives with our very knowledgeable driver, which allowed us the great privilege of ring side seats to the best that the Mara could offer (leopards!!!!) but the staff and comfort of the camp was just perfect! I spent most of my time...

About as good as a true authentic African bush experience as you can have along with some of the comforts of home. A luxurious tented camp . Nice common area. No gym or ability to exercise. A preponderance of Dutch tourists when we were there. Very nice open view of river/watering hole right at common area with resident hippos and...

Karen Blixen camp is truly a wonderful camp. The location, service and experience is all amazing. All the tents are by the river with hippos as neighbors. Breakfast is served by the river with a view of antelopes, baboons and hippos. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and well seasoned. The staff is kind and very service-minded. They are...

Graet location on the Mara River with a seemingly permanent herd of hippos on the opposite bank - picteresque with permant tent luxury accommodation with outside bathrooms Food and service was top class. The daily safaris were the highlight - this is the place to see animals - a herd of 30+ giraffe crossing the river, 200+ zebras as well...

Staying at Karen Blixen camp was fantastic. Sitting outside watching all the hippos and other animals coming to drink every day was great. The food was good and the tents was a good combination of luxury, but also the feeling of sleeping outdoors. The staff was great and made us feel welcome all the time. Our guide, David had a...

Great location with a view of the hippos and other animals on the river. Transport to and from the airstrip was easy. Private tents that we describe as "glamping" - camping luxuriously. Our room was set with 2 twin beds, a lounger, chair, desk, drawers to unpack, Short driving distance to multiple wildlife opportunities - we saw 17 lions, lots...

Karen Blixen Camp in the Masai Mara offers an authentic ’yesteryear’ experience for visitors wishing to gain that little extra from their safari.
