We stayed at Bateleur for three nights and were warmly welcomed by all the staff on arrival. Our "tent" had a lovely view across the Mara where we regularly saw giraffe, wildebeest and eland sauntering slowly and eating. The tents are lovely with a huge bed, (and welcome hot water bottles at night) twin basins, shower, etc. and a verandah... More

The lodge was wonderful, the staff amazing and the Maasai Mara National Reserve incredible. We visited Massai Mara in July when the migration was at its peak. It was really great. Our guides were the very helpful and accommodating. They made our trip magical.

1. Appreciate that Bataleur Camp is about to be renovated but felt that in a number of small ways (no hot towels on arrival back from game drives, had not/did not make the effort to get alcohol free beer (as had been requested), pick up from tents did not always take place as organised). While still very good not up... More

Hotel: My husband and I traveled to Bateleur Camp at the end of July and it was perfect! Warm during the day and cool at night. There is a ceiling fan above the bed that really circulates the air and the room is surrounded by vegetation which also keeps the room cool. At night, there are hot water bags that... More

What a fantastic place! A luxury hotel room in a camp tent setting so the best of both worlds. As we have found on our Micato (phenomenal) safari, the East Africans are amongst the friendliest people on the planet with the "And Beyond" team at the pinnacle. They go to such a huge effort to make your stay the best... More

Not ever sure where to begin in order to articulate the wonderful experience we had. To start with, we were greeted by the sweetest staff. Everyone was so accommodating and gracious. The food was crazy good. The bar was well stocked and the "tents" were luxurious. We had a great view every morning over looking the Masai Mara. Coffee was... More

I rarely review as I know each experience is a unique one and am sure every hotel/resort/camp is a personal adventure. I must on this occasion say that our days at Bateleur were exceptional. A wonderful balance of "canvas" (old world charm) and modern conveniences. The food was lovely (always fresh and mostly locally grown), the staff - incredibly friendly... More

Bateleur Camp is divided in 2 sections, the "Andbeyond' section which is only 18 tents a bit more secluded and private, the other camp catered to families..but very good too, big pool, bar and restaurant it was hard to believe we were in the bush. it's 10 min from the air strip and located in a private space of the... We arrived at andBeyond and were immediately greeted by fresh beverages and snacks on the airstrip. Everything following that was just as incredible and welcoming, Macebo makes sure you are taken care.
