Stayed at the Mara Serena for a New year break in January 14 for 2 nights. Had a fabulous time and this place is highly recommended, lots of animals to see even out of season and the hotel and service are brilliant - only things to mention are, make sure you request a table for lunch and dinner as they...

The construction work is over and the final product is absolutely stunning!! My wife and I returned to the Mara Serena almost 1 year to the day after our initial stay in Jan 2013. Not only is the Serena the only lodging choice within the highly praised Mara Triangle Conservancy, it is now by far the finest of the larger...

This place is ridiculously far from Nairobi by car, and at least half of the journey is on terrible road. This is not Serenas fault, it is more like the central or county governments responsibility, but I wish someone would do something about it :) The place is ridiculously nice. The architecture and interior design has been redone and it...

The Mara Serena is one of the best options for stay if one travels to the Masai Mara in Kenya. Its location is bang on one of the best spots of the entire Mara and one can see many animals frolicking around through the day. Views fro the room and the patio are awesome. The rooms are well-equipped and the...

The Mara Serena's biggest asset is its breathtaking view of the Masai Mara. You needn't even go for a game drive since you can see everything from the Serena! The reception, all rooms and even the gym look out over the plains. Also, it is situated within the Mara Triangle which has abundant and concentrated wildlife and which is the...

Our stay at Serena is for for ten days. We are already on day five and my mind is blown away.......I know that there is more to come and I must confess that by then am sure I will be looking on in bewildered amazement. I have thought about holding my review until the end but am sure by that...

This was my first time in Africa and was my first experience on Safari. Wow what an amazing trip it was. I was here in December of 2011 and it was a perfect stay. We ended up seeing pretty much everything other than Rhino which was fine. Enjoyed the breakfast and sunset cocktails. Only thing I think you miss out...

My wife, her party and our son were here for a few nights in December 2013. We were quite lucky with the game; we saw 12 species on the first of three drives, hosted by Simon, their knowledgeable driver, who has been working here 20 years. The food was excellent, and we got plenty of personal attention from their friendly...

I think this lodge may be the only one in the Mara Triangle? If so, no choice. The food was wonderful, the service lovely, the view excellent. Our room was simple (as all lodges are), with an excellent view of the surrounding area. Only problem was the smell. We believe it may be related to what we think is the...

We spent the last three nights of our 6 night trip to Kenya in Maasai Mara staying at Serena Lodge. Walking in to the lobby the first thing you will see is the breath taking panoramic view of the Massai Mara landscape. This place is simply out of this world, it's unlike anything else that I have seen, truly magnificent....
