The lodge is definitely dated but the common areas are still very nice.
The rooms could do with some sprucing up. Bathrooms are adequately sized but again the age of the property shows.
Drinking water is limited to 500ml per person per day which is...More
We were on a 10 day safari and stayed at 8 different lodges and the Mara Sopa Lodge had the best shower. The water got hot quickly, there was plenty of room in the shower and the water pressure was very good. Our room was...More
Stayed at 2 other beautiful lodges prior to arriving at this one and wow what a difference. Where as the others I would rate 4/5 star this is a poor one star. Yes it's old, but old shouldn't mean worn out. It is clear little...More
We stayed for two nights, great food, fantastic staff who couldn't be more helpful. WiFi available in the bar and reception. Monkeys, zebras and dik dik were inside the lodge grounds. Rooms comfortable and clean and the staff call each evening to spray with mosquito...More

No air con but I was there mid-May and it was quite cold at night, so didn't need it. It was very pleasant for sleeping. A little too chilly for me to use the pool unless it was midday. In fact we did a dawn safari one morning and I only had a sweater (jumper?) and light jacket and I was FREEZING until the sun came up. Not sure if that is typical but bring some layers.
Would agree with below comments. Rooms are very comfortable and cool at night. They do run on a generator which is switched off at night, cant remember exact time, but around midnight so no power in night.
