We took the safari link flight to Mara camp from the Porini Rhino and from the get go you see wildlife. Saw lots of Cheetah's lions and given that you are staying in the conservancy can do night drives as well. The resident hippo named Simon kept us awake the first night as he was just outside our tent making...

Thank you for your review and I’m delighted to read that you had such a good wildlife viewing experience at our Porini Mara Camp and that you thought the guides and camp staff were all excellent. However I note that after you had stayed in our Porini Rhino Camp and Porini Lion Camp, you felt that Porini Mare guest tents...

So much wildlife at this camp! We saw copious amounts of 4/5 of the big five (couldn't find a leopard). There is even a resident hippo named Simon that mows the grass at night. I came to Kenya to see wildlife and this camp definitely delivered. Life at the camp was great too. The tents were nice, spacious, and with...

I was here three days, followed by three days at Porini Lion Camp. Much of what I said about Porini Lion Camp applies here also; this is a lovely place, situated in the big Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. If you want to experience wild unfenced Africa, this is authentic as it gets. I was here to research, so didn’t go on all...

Located in Ol Kinyei Conservancy the Porini Mara Camp is well situated for an abundance of animals and lack of tourist vehicles. We flew Safari link to Mara Naboisho which was straight forward and were picked up from the airstrip in the safari vehicle. On our way to the camp we saw our first lion with a fresh kill plus...

We spent 3 nights st Porini Mara Camp having just come from Porini Rhino Camp. The setting was lovely so peaceful. Josephat and Tipa were our guides and we saw so much given that this was our fourth visit to the Mara. We saw cheetah mothers with their cubs, caracal cat and lots of elephants, we were so lucky. The...

The Porini camps rank with the best safari experiences we’ve had after having been on safari in many African countries. You combine a great experience with the knowledge that you’re supporting the conservancy concept, which increases the area of wildlife reserves and benefits the local Maasai so they have an incentive to protect the wildlife. You also get an experience...

After two days at Porini Amboseli we weren't sure our Kenya experience could get any better, but we had a phenomenal four nights at Porini Mara. From the pick up and game drive from Jackson, to the warm, friendly welcome from Jimmy, we felt at home immediately! Our game drives with Jeffrey and Bill were amazing. We saw so many...

My second time staying at this camp and as before it was a great experience. It was fantastic seeing some familiar faces at the camp, Jimmy, Jackson and Edward to name but a few. Even more impressively they remembered me and the things we saw on my first visit a year ago. The camp looked and felt the same and...

This was our first time at Porini camps. We have enjoyed the stay thoroughly and since we were on our honeymoon they made special arrangements by organising a bottle of champagne and also baked a cake for us and to top it all they sang a Masai song and celebrated our special occassion with us. We met some great people...

This camp, like other Porini camps, is located in a private conservancy so camp residents are the only visitors in a large area. Increasingly Ol Kinyei conservancy is attracting wildlife from the adjacent Masai Mara Park so after three days there we thought it was not necessary for us to go into the Mara itself and compete with many other...
