Stayed two nights as part of a Big Cat Safari with Gamewatchers. Loved the camp, great game viewing, excellent guides, good service. Only thing that stops me giving it top marks all round is that we moved onto Lion Camp, which is even better.

My wife and I visited both Amboseli and Mara Porini, very different parks but both were 1st class in every way from begining to end, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was only too pleased to hep in any way. Mara Porini is a much greener park and our guides Ben & Simon were great, we saw the Big... More

My friend and I spent three days and two nights at Mara Porini Camp and we had a wonderful, memorable time. The guides, Ben and Stanley, were exceptional and the staff was ritz-carlton, award-winning service orientated. Would definitely go back and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a safari. Also, prior to the trip, the Gamewatchers Safaris US travel... More

The experience we had at Mara Porini Camp was unforgettable. We were there at the end of September of 2011 and spent 3 nights at the camp. The staff was wonderful and our guide, Jimmy, was ultimate guide. I could not recommend this experience and camp more. There are so many camps out there, it is hard to pick one... More

All of the previous reviews are true. Visited Amboseli and Mara for 3 days each in late October and while the terrain was different, the Porini hospitality and service were excellent at both places; from airport pickup to final drop off. Great food and friendly, caring staff. Daniel and Ben were awesome guides and Wilson's birding ability at Amboseli was... More

We were in Porini for 2 nights and 3 days. Right when we landed at Olkiombo airstrip the tour guides were waiting for us and made us feel welcome. We received the same reception at the camp where Philip the manager explained to us how we would spend our time there and answered our questions. The guides (Jackson and Jackson)... More

We went on trips to Amboseli and Mara camps 4 months ago and it makes it all the more significant that we as a family still talk about this trip all the time and remember it with immense affection. It is so hard to pick a safari holiday on the basis of brochures and we came to Porini by 3rd... More

Six of us have just got back from a 3 night stay here followed by two at Lion Camp. Everything was fabulous-- the people, the drives, the breakfasts, picnic lunches and sundowners on the plains, the walks, the food, the accomodation and, of course, the wildlife. We saw all of the big five and also many many smaller creatures, numerous eagles,... More

We were in Kenya for 12 days and for the first 7 days we were with a small tour group. We booked Porini Mara and Lion directly with Gamewatchers and the overall experience at both camps were excellent. We spent 3 nights at Porini Mara in October 2011. Having been on several Safari's all over Africa, Porini Mara provided the best experience I have had on any. The camp is beautiful, excellently run by David - the every helpful host. The conservancy was teeming with wildlife and our guide Jimmy was fantastic. Sundowners watching the Lions is an... More
