First of all, going on a safari is the best possible thing to do. When Paul is your guide you have hit the jackpot. Paul LOVES the animals, he knows them by name and has lived among them so long he knows their habits and preferences. Having Paul as my guide made my trip, please ask for him when you...

It is hard to put in to words just how wonderful this place is! We spent 3 days/nights here as part of our Honeymoon and from the second we arrived we were blown away at every aspect! The camp setting is just as we imagined; unassuming in the middle of the wilderness, with 10 private tents a short walk from...

I can't say enough good things about the Mara Explorer! We LOVED it! We really liked that it wasn't fenced in like other camps so it really felt like we were in the park. Our luxury 'tent' was spacious, super clean and so great. We loved having the balcony overlooking the river and everything was so wonderful. The service was...

We happened to be here in the last month of the migration season (October) on strong recommendation by our tour operator, and we were more than satisfied for several reasons. Firstly, the Olkiombo airstrip where we landed into from Nairobi is just 3 mins away from the Explorer camp. This makes a lot of difference, as the deplorable road conditions...

By far the beset vacation I've ever taken. A luxurious and relaxing getaway as well as an adventure of a lifetime, it was well worth every penny. Recommended by friends in Nairobi, I can't imagine having gone anywhere else. We were in Kenya for work and only had one night to do a Safari and we saw every animal imaginable....

Mara Explorer Camp was our second stop on our Kenya-Tanzania safari vacation. The Camp came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. Our tent, the common area facilities, the staff, the food, and our camp guide were first rate. The highlight of our stay was seeing a Mara River Wildebeest crossing. We would highly recommend this camp to anyone visiting the Maasai...
