You can carry Kenya shillings or US dollars for your stay at Tipilikani camp, as your bills can be settled in either currency. It is advisable to convert some of your US dollars into Kenya Shillings in Nairobi before setting our on safari.
The normal cultural visit to a Maasai Village will cost you in the region US$ 20 per person.
Tipping can be done in either Kenya shillings of US dollars.
As you well know tipping is done at the discretion of the individual and is dependent on the level satisfaction and service provided. Driver guides are normally tipped separately at US$ 5 per person(in the vehicle) per day. The rest of the camp staff, including the back area staff are catered for by the staff tip box that is at the reception. The average rate is US$ 15 per person per day. You can tip above these limits if you so wish.
Most tipping is done on the departure date.
