Gamewatchers Safari had already scratched most of my big cat itch before I got to this camp. This camp made sure that I was beyond satisfied with my quest to see these animals. The area was packed with tons of lions, cheetah families, and the elusive leopard (one solitary male and a mother with two cubs)! Aside for the cats,...

If you want to get the feel of original, wild, unfenced big-game Africa, this is the place. The Mara Conservancies are the northern part of a huge (and largely intact) ecosystem that extends south to the southern Serengeti and beyond. The camp is beautifully sited in the riverine woodland of a seasonal river, with sweeping views in all directions. At...

I was there at the same time as a couple of other reviewers and had the baby elephant born outside our tent, lions roaring all night sitting on our patio. How exciting is that? But even with out that added drama we spent four amazing nights here. The game drives kept getting better every day, just when you think you...

5 leopards, 1 cheetah, 37 lions, an elephant giving birth right outside my tent, having breakfast with the hippopotamuses, the adrenaline of being woken up by a male lion roaring only a few meters from my pillow, epic encounters, sunrises & sundowners, new friends, time to read, silence to think, landscapes that heal, the stars at night, an even bigger...

The tent was spacious and comfortable, wih good facilities: en suite with flush loo, hot shower before dinner or after the game drive, and large, comfortabe bed. The game viewing was exceptional - the camp is very well named, as the local lion pride is very near and we saw them each time we went out. We could hear them...
