We ended our Porini safari with the Lion Camp. I have to say, they saved the best for last. Big cats everywhere! The camp is on a conservancy adjacent to the Mara, owned by the welcoming Masai people. It's situated by a river and at night we would hear the hippos bellowing, or munching on the grass. Some nights lions...

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Porini Lion Camp, followed by a few days on the beach on the south coast. Because of the media portrayal of terrorist attacks in Kenya our family had been concerned about us going but I am so glad we didn't change our minds - we felt perfectly safe throughout our entire...

My wife and I thought the Porini Lion camp was great. The amount of wildlife we saw in two days was remarkable. It is astounding the amount of animals you can see just around the camp!! We had a group of forty babboons parade right in front of our tent. During our stay we were fortunate to have Jackson as...

I spent three nights at Porini Lion in Olare Motorogi Conservancy and also Porini Adventure Camp in Selenkay Conservancy. Both were amazing. Lion is on the high end and worth it. The tents are more like luxury apartments, along the river, and literally looking out an open plain where most of the time a herd of zebras were grazing. You...

This camp was a winner! I stayed for 6 nights in August. Was supposed to only stay 4 but added on and I am so glad I did! First let me say my tent was so amazing. I was facing a field by the road that came into camp. I sat on the porch one afternoon and right in front...

We had been on a private safari (our first ever) up in Lakipia and didn't think anything could compare to that. Wrong!! Porini Lion Camp is set along the river. The tents are beautifully appointed, even flushing toilets yet very green philosophy. Our Maassai guides were so informative, friendly, passionate about their land. Food was very good. Can't wait to...

Our second stop on our safari, after Porini Mara, was Porini Lion. The Porini camps do a fantastic job at all camps: excellent food and drinks, super staff and service, game drives that find the animals, and very comfortable accommodations. Jackson and Big John did a fabulous job finding the animals for us and Phillip ran a top-notch dining room....

My father and I stayed at Porini Lion Camp for 3 days. The experience was amazing! We were asked several times what our expectation were and could not give an answer. This was our first time in Kenya and first time on a trip of this nature.Needless to say we were both blown away by the camp, the people, and...

I loved this camp and loved the Masai Mara. So many animals and in such a stunning setting. We were there in July 2014 and it seemed to be feasting month - lions eating, hyenas eating, a cheetah with her kill, and then of course the scavengers waiting for the leftovers. Well, I suppose the great migration of wildebeest and...
