I stayed for a week in a wing that has better and bigger rooms, American standard. Very much enjoyed the room, the views and the service. Daily cleaning and bed service. Wifi shaky. The breakfast can be very busy with plenty to choose and do avail yourself with the freshly fried noodles from the two ladies behind the counter 0-... More

Chinese hotel with clean roms and friendly staff. Easy walk to underground in Beijing and therefore you do not need a car. If you like Chinese food there are several small fastfood like places to eat right outside the hotel. However the food is prima in the hotel and the Chinese breakfast first class :)

Generally a nice experience until checkout, when the hotel tried to charge for too many days, too many rooms, and "a set of sheets" (complete with a receipt showing my name and an unreadable signature) for about 100 US dollars. The total amount they were trying to charge was more than double what was actually owed. 30 minutes of checking... More

The hotel was good value for Beijing and the service was better than average. We booked through hotels.com at the cost of £50 a night for two people. The hotel is located in close vicinity to the zoo and the national library and is also close to a metro station. There is Internet in the room although its through a... More

I stayed 5 nights & really liked this hotel. There were no westerners staying here. The hotel seemed to be frequented more by a business crowd & is located to the west of the tourist center. Very little English spoken among the staff, however, they were all very gracious (the Asst. Mgr. spoke good English & was exceedingly helpful whenever... More

The hotel is located close to a metro station and well-priced restaurants. Several shopping malls are within easy reach via the metro system, which is very easy to use and cheap. The first room we stayed in had dirty carpets and the second room had problems with the A/C system but over all the hotel was good.

This place was horrible. I know this is not the most expensive hotel around, but after reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. My first impression was good. I was relieved it looked like a decent place, however I was wrong. Our toilet got blocked and it took hours to get it fixed. I kept going... More

Stayed here for four nights on a business trip. Hotel is about a 30 minute taxi ride to Tianemen Square. There's a subway station close by too. Rooms were spacious and bathroom was nice. Had breakfast at the hotel every morning and food was very good. Staff was pleasant and attentive although not many spoke English. There are restaurants within... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this 4 star hotel. It is very tastefully furnished and is modern in every way that matters. It is very popular with local (Chinese) tourists, but also caters well to foreign tourists. One definite perk is the all you can eat breakfast buffet, included in the price. It was huge. There was a tremendous... More

I booked by location and was pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel is. Comfortable room, most of the usual amenities, quiet, within a two-minute walk to the National Library and subway station. It seemed that I was the only Westerner in the hotel, so language skills of the staff were fairly rudimentary, but I have no complaints. When I... More

“Ask if you can see a few rooms so you can choose the best of them. Asking for a complementary breakfast also works depending who is on the reception desk.”
