We spent 6 nights at this Hotel. Excellent location for easy accessibility to downtown attractions. The attached mall and surrounding shopping centres give plenty of options for meals and shopping. However, be prepared to pay top price as many of these retail outlets are high end. Most deals are found across the street in the lower end malls. We stayed...

I've just come back from my 1st Beijing trip last week. Upon a Beijing friend's recommendation, we booked a twin room at Joy city through Expedia.com, searched thru Tripadvisor. Rate was value for money, but don't be misled by the Expedia price quote. The hidden extra charges & tax aren't mentioned until it's too late. Anyway, I hope everyone benefits...

This hotel is in a very nice location to navigate around Beijing and there is plenty to do close to the hotel. Also the price is great for what you get and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The only issue was the air conditioner didn't work very well so it was a bit warm in the room. Stayed here...

I travelled with my wife & stay at the hotel for 3 nights. When we check the room rate with the front desk, they told us only left with business room with walk-in rate CNY1150. We have no choice as we already round the town & search for the hotel for around 2 hours after check out from Novotel Peace....

The location of the hotel is excellent, although the taxi driver struggled to find the entrance. Although I did not expect a 5* international chain hotel, my hopes were high. Once settled, we noticed that the bathroom was dirty (dust and hair all over), the refrigerator did not work (we were told that it works, although the temperature was 15...

This hotel is clean, neat and the staff are friendly and efficient. We stayed on the 8th floor with a lovely garden area in the centre. The staff were helpful with advise for our travel plans as we were travelling alone and making our own way around. It is next door to a large shopping centre with a multitude of...

Although there are many hotels within a 15-minute walk of Xidan, Joy City is only one of a few right where the action is. And I mean, in the middle of it all. The hotel is part of the Joy City complex, which is a massive shopping mall (with a good, busy food court). Xidan subway is two-three minutes' walk...

We loved this hotel. The staff were helpful and some of the staff spoke good English. We upgraded to the business room which was of a good size. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning met our expectations. Breakfast was not included but on one morning we tried the breakfast. Predominately chinese and we quite enjoyed the food but a...
