Golden Phoenix is definitely not the worst hotel that I have stayed in but it is far from the best. I think like 90% of people who stay there, we only stayed there after we missed our connecting Air China flight. They couldn't get us on another flight the same day so we had to travel the next day instead...

My wife and I were placed in this hotel by Air China after we arrived late from New Delhi and missed our connection to Vancouver, BC. Although the hotel was pretty well organized to accept the dozens of travellers who were also stranded due to the delay, the demeanor of the staff suggested that most of their hotel management training...

Arrived at the airport at midnight and had arranged a hotel pick up that didn't arrive. When I eventually got to the hotel it was freezing inside , room was adequate but not clean and bed was solid. Had running water sounds constantly and was woken at 1am and then 2am with waiters trying to give me cans of coke!!...

We tried to find a good airport hotel on trip advisor, but our flight had been canceled later in the day and we wanted to find something out near the airport so that it wouldn't be a hassle the next morning. This was pretty much the last option and so we took it, despite the horrible reviews on here. Ok...

July 28th we stranded in this run-down hotel as Air China wasn't willing to book us to alternative connecting flight. We only met frustrated Air China customer so it seems that this place is mainly making business with unsatisfied Air China customers. The room we got would have satisfied maniacs for DNA fingerprints. The twin beds were full of all...

Single most infuriating hotel experience of my life. We stayed at the hotel between two connecting flights. We arrived at Beijing airport late night, and had to leave early morning. First problem: The airport shuttle didn´t pick us up on arrival. When we called the hotel, the staff didn´t speak english, so we couldnt explain the problem. After getting help...

As so many other people, I was forced to stay here due to a delayed Air China flight. The room smells, there are stains everywhere and I already got bitten on my hand within 5 minutes of being at the hotel. Air China (or the hotel?) makes you pay 150 RMB if you don't want to share a room with...

As many other comments about this hotel, I also HAD to stay there because Air China organised it due to flight delay. Shuttle is very far within the airport. Staff at the hotel is unfriendly and rude. Food is a choice before starving - otherwise, pass. Rooms are just about acceptable (mattress consists of a very thing something). Watch out:...

My wife and I found ourselves unexpectedly needing to spend a night at Beijing Capital airport and were persuaded by the Beijing Tourist authority to stay at this hotel rather than the the Hilton ot the langham. What a mistake that was, It was a bit cheaper but it was truly a horrific experience . The room was filthy the...
