The hotel is located on the north east corner of the bell tower down a back alley, there are no English signs. There were two people who worked there. One spoke English and the other didn't. The rooms were quite small and very basic there is no storage space. The beds were rock solid. The bathroom was small with a... More

What was supposed to be a very good choice in a hutong endind up on the street with no room. I should have trusted several comments on this hotel. They are happilly practicing surbooking. as this place is very small, there is a very good chance that you end up with no room when you arrive. We were three adults... More

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, which is directly at the drum and bell tower, otherwise there are no good things about it. Very hard to find. We couldn't check in, because the co-worker there said he never got any reservations from "Venere" and he didn't know this website... More

I booked this place because it looked interesting and at the time was very competitively priced. I got a discount through a Chinese app and ended up staying for a week while traveling. My room was on the inside and it was next to the night managers room or something. She was on and off the phone all night and... More

Clean and centrally located - 2 minutes walk to the subway and across the road from the Lama temple in a very vibey neighbourhood. Very Chinese in its decor and service so if this doesn't appeal then go somewhere more bland - this was in the Vuitton Guide to Beijing and for the price it was very good value indeed... More

If you are looking for the Hilton styled hotel then you need to stay in the Hilton. This is a quirky hotel in probably one of the best positions in Beijing. Right next to the Lama Temple, the beautiful traditional Hutongs and the subway station, this hotel gives you an ideal location. We found it to be very quiet and... More

Good location in a Hutong near Bell Tower and in an area with lots of nice bars to have a drink at night. There is no 24-hour reception. At check-in and check-out nobody was present and we had to make an expensive phonecall to reach a staff member. We used the "luggage storage". Our bags were stored in a locked... More

I stayed here in November 2013 and at first I disliked it. I was in a corner room and could hear what I can only describe as extremely loud shrieking from a woman all night in the next room. I honestly thought someone was giving birth. This kept me awake all night more or less, The beds are very comfortable... More

Warm, clean and comfortable room. great location, Inside in a hutong, you don't need something more! At the facilities they said they have wash-machine on the rooms and we didn't hav, but we give our clothes to the staff and they cleaned us for free. Highly recommend it

The hotel was very nice and conveniently located just 2 minutes from the Andingmen subway and Llama Temple. On our first night, we were in a room that opens directly onto the sidewalk, which is not good. Traffic noise from the adjacent ring road and people (and scooters) on the sidewalk right outside the door all night made for a... More
