Walk 2 minutes from the hotel and you're back in the bustling city. But in the hotel, all you get to hear is a water cascade in the center court (which is turned off at night, allowing for a great night sleep) and birds singing in the morning! Roomy rooms, nice bathrooms. The beds are OK, large enough for my...

Spacious setting with nice rooms and great Courtyard where in the Summer months you can dine. The hotel is about 700m from a city Mall and about 500m from the Subway. Front desk staff very helpful, even arranging to provide a packed breakfast when I departed for an early morning flight. I could and will stay there next time I'm...

This place is absolutely fantastic! The booking experience was excellent and, even before we arrived, we were contacted by the hotel and they helped us with a number of enquiries. This was a really nice personal touch. The moment we arrived we felt so pleased with ourselves for finding this wonderful boutique hotel. We spent ages trawling through the trip...

My wife and I spent 5 nights in a premium room, which was tastefully decorated and spacious. The property itself is distinctive -- a former private residence with beautiful design, woodwork and fixtures. We loved relaxing in the courtyard in the evening -- great for dinner and/or drinks. Breakfast was delicious, including made-to-order omelets. Service was exceptional from everyone on...

The Red Wall Garden hotel is fantastically situated in a quiet hutong (lane) within walking distance of Tiannamen square and The Forbidden City (20min) and 5 min to the clean easy subway. The wonderful helpful staff all speak English (rare in China), the facilities are beautiful, a gorgeous courtyard to relax in and PLUS free use of bicycles.

The hotel is located right in the center near Tienamen square. Our room was very nice but the seating couch was wooden and a little uncomfortable. Great location in a traditional hutong. We prefer more boutique hotels with character rather than generic chain hotels. The public areas are fantastic and we really enjoyed the cosy bar area in the evenings. Breakfast was good but slightly limited in choice. The reason I have only rated the hotel as 3 star is that when you are charging over...
