As it is said in an other review, it is not a 5 stars Hotel. But only a perfect and friendly B&B. You will love to drink a beer with Alex and his other guests, and listen his advice about places to visit. Yes, it is difficult to find (not so difficult if you check a map before), at the...

Four of us stayed there earlier this year in March. It was a great choice for what we wanted (local courtyard and Hutong experience, great location). Alex was there to greet us and available when we needed him. The room not big but sufficient enough for our stay. The court yard is a charming touch! It is a little bit...

First things first: if you expect a 5 star hotel with bubblebaths in every corner and angels as servers. Do not go here. (When I was here, there were some people who felt a bit disappointed as they expected a fancy hotel and not a guesthouse). Anyway for those of you who want an amazingly relaxing time in one of...

I will start by noting that this is not the easiest place to find, as it is deep in a hutong labyrinth. Download a hutong map then get a taxi to drop you at the drum tower and walk from there. GPS helps! Once you arrive you will find a charming little courtyard with nicely furnished rooms. But the best...

Apricot Courtyard Inn is a really cosy place with a personal athmosphere in a peaceful hutong. The location is close to several sights in Beijing and there is a subway station just within a few minutes of walking. There are also several bars and restaurants close by. The place is run by the owner Alex, who is a great host...

There are two main strengths to this place. Firstly the location. Sitting amongst the Bell and Drum tower give you a good reference point and the lovely hutong it's situated in is amazingly interesting and full of laid back bars, restaurants on the edge and just everyday hutong life such as pensioners tangoing on the public square into the wee...

The location was a bit tough to find at first since it's literally located at the end of a dead-end alleyway tucked in the center of snake-like hutongs. The location actually becomes the best thing about this place (once you get used to it) because it is conveniently located nearby various amenities, shops, restaurants. It is actually nearby the "art"...

From Chicago all the way to Beijing and Apricot Courtyard Inn made me feel at home! - convenient location; great shopping, Drum & Bell towers, bars, cafes, etc. right next door and Guloudajie subway station makes it really quick and cheap to get to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Lama Temple, Summer Palace - clean, chic / hip / fun decor...
