Fairly decent hotel in a good location. Grand lobby and we had a good size room on 5th floor somewhat worse for wear overlooking a hutong. Not the best of views. Beds rather on the firm side, but that didn't bother us as we slept like logs the 3nights we stayed there. Carpets worn. Situated in an alley you may...

Stayed here 3 nights in April. Despite the grand foyer this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. On the plus side, quite good location, the bedroom was quiet with good toiletries, free slippers, dressing gown and excellent Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the carpet in the bedroom was badly stained and probably beyond cleaning properly. The bathroom had many cracked tiles which...

Best Western Premier Royal Phoenix Hotel. It's centrally located in a commercial area and only a few years old; it is a good looking and relatively clean hotel and is a strange mix of modern design and mid-20th century furnishings. The rooms were large and had a flat screen TV (only one English channel), a small refrigerator, and the beds...

This hotel seems to be in rapid decline. Poorly maintained, little English, badly located down a lane and terrible breakfast. We arrived about 2am and had to walk about 300 metres down the lane carrying our luggage as the mid sized bus could not get down the lane. The staff could not understand us were not the least bit helpful...

average hotel for Beijing, we were on an OAT tour for three nights. Little English spoken but this is China, so to be expected.. We found lots of places to eat at the end of the alley on the main drag, but the hotel is of limited assistance for mush of this.

We stayed for 4 nights with a group at the end of March. My family had two rooms. We checked into a room and it smelled of smoke so we asked for a different room. They found another room and they said that the room would be cleaned and we could access it in 1 hour. We went to the...

The hotel is in a great location. I don't know how tricky it is to find initially, as our taxi dropped us off. We went for a walk to the nearby high street (turn left out of hotel, it's about 100 yards down) and had no trouble finding our way back (despite jet lag!). Lots of shops & restaurants on...

Stayed here for a few days with a group. It was a good hotel, with western style, but a little difficult to find as its down a side street. But it is close to a shopping street with many restaurants/ shops and only a few minutes walk to Dongsi Metro station. I found the staff were friendly enough and the...

I booked my Beijing trip via travel agency (as an exception to my usual DIY trips abroad) mainly due to language and communication concerns. I chose this hotel due to its accessibility to major tour sites. But I wouldn't if I were traveling DIY because it was not easy to find as other reviewers have commented. It is smack in...

We had the pleasure of staying in this establishment for two nights on our 72 hour visa free transit stay. The front desk and lobby area are clean, well decorated and smelled nice. The 5th floor was another story all together, the halls reak of cigarette smoke and the walls were dirty. The room was like a cheap Chinese trinket,...
