We stayed here in January - the off season and it might be better when it is busy but it was very poor at this time - particularly the breakfast. The milk urn was always nearly empty so that the waitress had to be called to hold it up to get the dregs out, the coffee cups were tiny so...

The only good thing about this hotel was the western bathroom. And even that left much to be desired. 1. Staff are very apathetic. They speak very little English and are useless with assisting in directions, transport etc 2. There is a strict policy of two bottles of water per room per day. We asked if we could purchase more...

It was the only time I was actually warm during my 3 week stay in China. Nobody, including restaurants heat during The winter and leave their coats on while inside, though shoes always come off in home. The thermostat in our lovely, very clean room was not adjustable and we couldn't turn the heat down. We were able to open...

This is a relatively modern hotel in a good "local" location. Its position amid narrow bustling streets is part of its charm but creates a problem for anyone arriving in anything other than a car or minibus. So if you come/leave by a coach/bus then you will have to lug you luggage down to the main road or get the...

A large hotel located in a side lane and hard to find. The room was spacious and clean , so was the bath room with plenty of hot water. The decor is rather old fashened but nice. The buffet breakfast was good as well . Would come back any time.

This hotel is, as others have stated, hidden on a side street with businesses and hutong all around. Our room was very nice. No bugs or dirty sheets as others experienced. Internet only in lobby and very slow. Shower door was improperly installed and the floor was filled with water every time we bathed. We were traveling with a tour...

Hotel is hidden away on a side street, not visible from main street, but makes for a great quiets night sleep. Room was clean and safe bottled drinking water was provided. Rooms very quiet, slept great. Negatives, total lack of English from staff, they charged me on arrival for deposit (1600 RMB), when I left 3 days later they charged...

As another reviewer mentioned "No one in Beijing knows where this hotel is." Not even the business hotels nearby. Its virtually hidden behind a bunch of residential and office buildings. Took over an hour to find. Once we found it, that's when things went even further downhill. As a warning, though the standard rooms come with "free toiletries" they do...

The hotel is in a very odd location - it's right in the middle of a Hutong neighbourhood. There's this imposing building right in front of a very narrow lane with very small houses along the road. The hotel lobby is impressive, our room was nice, but I don't get the idea re the glass window between the room and...

The Royal Phoenix hotel was exactly what we needed after a long flight from England to Beijing. Despite arriving 4 hours earlier than the designated check in time they allowed us into the room after just a short wait in the bar area. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, although we were a bit surprised to find a...
