This hotel is great value in a great location. I booked a double room and is was very good. It's not the Shangri La but you don't expect that. Comfortable double bed, nice warm room, hot shower, free wi-if. Lots of great places to eat within minutes and fascinating Hutongs to explore. As one other person mentioned there is a...

This is my go-to place when I stay in Beijing. The price is great, rooms nice, and atmosphere small and cozy. It's more of a traditional place set back in the hustings near the llama temple. It's a bit hard to find at first but totally worth it. The location is perfect for exploring the hutongs, temples, ghost street etc.

Simple, clean and very cosy - in one of the hutongs of Beijing - close to metro, close to Lama temple! Different from the hotels, you usually go! Very friendly English speaking and helpful staff. First floor rooms have no windows, however not a big problem. Traditional Chinese style decoration. Warm and cosy even in winter.

We had the very good idea of booking at this hotel. Hotel is located close to train station and at the front desk they have a tourist map with most tourist destination and the directions for which station you need to go to and a subway map on the reverse side. Rooms are nicely decorated with a feel like your...

Located in the heart of beijing and is very accessible to/from subway station. The area is packed with restaurant strips that are open til late at night. The hotel room is clean, staff are friendly and can speak english fluently (which are rare in China).

Hotel as described, good location from the subway and then you can go explore Beijing as you please (subways so cheap if you have never been to Beijing before) half hour by train from the airport as well. Rooms were very clean and set in traditional Huton buildings, modified for the hotel but worth looking around the backstreets to see...

First of all, looking at the pictures, it seems to me that some people did confuse this hostel with another one. The one I am rating is the one in Beixin Hutong, close to the TouchWoman Cafe. The hotel does not have a backpacker vibe, nor does it have a good standard. It is mainly used by chinese tourists. While...

The people running this place make it, for me, a 5/5 place to stay. They've been more helpful than I would've hoped for. Booking us a last minute great wall tour, last minute train tickets to shanghai, and helping us out with a counterfeit money issue. It feels like they really care about helping us out. The rooms are small,...

This hostel we found would probably suit Chinese nationals more than the foreign backpacker hoping for a socialable environment to meet other travellers and glean travel advice. If you are hoping for reception support you might be unlucky, as we were. The bedrooms (we moved once, in the hope we were simply unlucky) were windowless, stank of stale cigarettes, had...
