Got to our hotel and checked in at Xinqiao Hotel. Surprised there were not more people on the front desk who spoke English. We had to use Google translate quite a bit. Our room (B366) was very spacious with a king bed. A nice work area with plugs, a lamp, a small desk with a safe by the desk. All the lighting was controlled by a couple of master switches and you had to insert one of the key cards at the door for the lights to work at all. The bathroom was well laid out with two shower heads and nice warm water. An electric pot was available for tea or coffee, but the cups were very small. Our room was very warm, and we could not find anyone to show us how to adjust it. We opened a window over the hotel Citrus dining area but that was noisy until late evening and again in the morning starting around 0500. The hallway was carpeted which made it difficult to wheel our suitcases. The bed was comfortable with large pillows and a thick comforter. They had a very good breakfast selection however the coffee/tea cups were very small and the cappuccino came out cold. This hotel is within walking distance of Tiananmen Square, National Museum, Forbidden City and the Railway Station.

It is a hotel that on Google appears as Novotel Xin Qiao, but currently it is no longer a Novotel. The hotel is next to the subway. (The station is in front of the hotel, Chongwenmen Station.) The hotel is big. There are two buildings, a big lobby, but there are only 3-4 seats, very few. You won't find a seat at all. Had to sit outside in the smoking zone which was very smelly.
I stayed in a Superior King Bed room, 3665 baht per night (including breakfast for 2 people). The room was big, big bed, lots of plugs, but the downside was that I booked a Non smoking room, but in any case, I would always smell cigarettes in the room. Which people with allergies strongly do not recommend staying.
The employee informed me that there was another fitness building on the 7th floor. I went up but I couldn't find it no matter how I looked. And another very old building. Walking alone is quite spine-tingling.
Breakfast is Chinese style, which frankly is not to my liking at all. It's better to go out to eat.
There are no convenience stores around the hotel. There is only Mr.Lee restaurant opposite the hotel, open 24 hours. Walk a little further and there is a department store for shopping and there is a department store that sells a lot of food. But if you want to buy drinks and snacks at 7-Eleven I can say that there isn't any.
Overall a big hotel But it's a pity about the smell of cigarettes. Even though it's next to the train. But I may not choose to stay again.

We stayed 3 nights in the Bijing Xinqiao Hotel and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is very good located near the famous Wangjujing shopping street. You can go in 5 minutes by foot. There you find a lot of opportunities for food and shopping. Our room was clean, quiet with all facilities. The breakfast was also very good, great variation of different types of food, asian and european. The staff in the hotel was friendly and helpful. We would come back to these hotel in Beijing, 100% recomended.

We arrived very late past midnight at the Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao. We booked TWO rooms of twin beds. The two FO staff where trainees and we were allocated a king size bed for the three of us and both rooms. After much conversation at 12.30am the staff told us our friend had a King size room and they had NO twin bed rooms.
I then asked for the manager, Ms Amy Xu to Mr David Wu who laughed at me when I repeated it to him a few times. Meanwhile, the other FO staff Ms Michelle Dai checked through every page of my passport four times. I asked her what she wanted to know and my wife told me she was looking for the last entry date into China which I helped her with.
When the manager finally arrived, Ms Amy Xu said she gave us a room in the B wing which was NOT the 'interconnecting rooms' we asked for in email requests earlier to that hotel.
After deliberation we requested an extra bed and past 1am we retired to the room after we unpacked we discovered there was NO DOOR to the bathroom!!!!
We then went to go back to the front desk and Ms Xu gave us a room on the 11th floor with two beds and they added an extra bed which was booked in Wing A on the 11th floor. This was 2am. They should have done this in the first place.
The problems dont end there, on Monday and Wednesday for the breakfasts for three adults we paid for the staff stopped us and queried this. I had to show the receipt we had to get in.
On the final day Thursday, we did get a sympathetic staff manager, Felix who gave us a late check out but I have to say, it should not take two hours to check into the correct room.
regards
SLL

We found this to be a good place to stay for our 4 nights in Beijing.
+ Convenient for the metro and in the forbidden city area of Beijing. Room was big and comfortable with everything that we needed including fridge, kettle, fresh water, effective air con etc. Helpful staff, including getting us a taxi to the airport early morning. Buffet breakfast was great, plenty of food and lots of choice. Set us up well for a day of sightseeing!
- Some stains on the carpet in our room (but it seemed clean).
Overall, we were very happy with our choice and would stay here again.

Room Tip:There’s a bakery next door that wasn’t particularly cheap, but was good for snacks.

A very good hotel, located near Tianamen Square, within walking distance and with a metro stop right in front of lines 2 and 5, ideal for getting around the capital. Not being afraid of the subway is very simple. The rooms are spacious, clean and the perfect rest. In the breakfast buffet you obviously have oriental and European, I don't think the latter lacks anything, it is true that the pastries are not like the ones here, but the ones here are very good, Milk, yogurt, various types of cereals, bread to toast, coffee.

No French-language TV channel, though. The carpet is to be renewed because stained in various places. Continental breakfast with lots of choices and very good espresso not found in other hotels.

The hotel is well located. The rooms are good. Good bedding. Not an international TV channel. It's not very well insulated... The evening buffet is very good with unlimited wine for a great price. Breakfast could be better. There is missing fruit. The bar is nice. The concierges are totally incompetent and useless. To be transferred urgently to the restoration of the Great Wall.

I recently decided to stay at this hotel due to its location which is EXTREMELY convenient. The hotel has a subway station DIRECTLY in-front of the hotel. I booked a room with club access, however the I would like to suggest to management to please increase staffing in the areas of FOH and BOH during your Club peak hours (i.e. Breakfast and Evening cocktails). Accommodation rooms were good, again I would like to suggest to do more preventive maintenance. Overall, I would suggest this hotel to fellow travelers who would like convenience of accessibility to sights in Beijing (i.e. Wangfujing Street, Forbidden City and Tianamen Square). The hotel has a giant map of Places of Interest in the lobby, and if you should have a look at it to see how convenient this hotel is.

I read a few reviews before booking this hotel. First of all location is great and next to subway station f u heading to Tinanmen square and forbidden city. There is a bakery next door but we did not go there. Breakfast spread was good.
The lobby is huge however there is no security to the lift as anyone can enter the hotel and access the lift. The rooms are compact. Water from shower is natural spring water, however the water pressure was too weak and I did not really enjoy the shower.
Overall I would say that the price that we paid for room should have been bigger. I asked for English breakfast tea (room service) and the tea was cold and service was poor. The bed was comfortable and pillows too. We had a decent sleep. Not much of a view as the hotel is only 5 story's.

My son ordered a sim card for his phone to be delivered to the hotel in time for our arrival. On checking in, he didn't have to ask for it. The receptionist told him they had received a delivery for him and promptly went to get it. No problem. He had, however, contacted the hotel before ordering the item to make sure that they were able to take delivery of it. Sorry, I don't know about the address as it wasn't my arrangement.
I think it was something like $50 or $100
If you give them cash you would get the balance back in cash
I you used a credit card it could take a while for the credit to go back to the card
If you check the hotel website it should state the required deposit amount
Or send them an email and ask them for deposit details as they may have changed since we stayed
