I am spending a long period of time at Novotel Beijing Peace in Wangfujing district and I am absolutely satisfied and amazed by the quality of the hotel and the overall services being offered. Hotel staff is outstanding in particular Blair in the management office (coordinated by Manager Mary) is taking good care of all guests especially the foreigners which need constant English support of course. I there strongly recommend Novotel Beijing Peace for short and long-term stay in Beijing.
I stayed here with a few friends and we made a good base of the hotel. It was central to some of the places we wanted to visit and the staff were quite helpful. The rooms are quiet, the beds are comfy and there is extra furniture to lounge in. My friends and I all booked superior rooms and all upgraded to deluxe rooms once we arrived and it is honestly worth booking the deluxe rooms. Our first friend was upgraded for free right away but I arrived with a couple and we were sent to the superior rooms. The superior rooms are separate from the main tower and you have to walk a fair ways to get to them from the lobby. The couple had booked a superior room with a "king" bed on booking and found it had a queen bed instead so they upgraded for another 100 yuan a night at the front desk. I had troubles checking in as the first two rooms I went to had broken lights, phones and were quite noisy so I asked to move and they were kind enough to upgrade me. The superior rooms were quite tight and a good enough place to rest but again the deluxe rooms are much better. The hotel is very close to Wanfujing Street and within a five minute walk to Deng Shi Kou metro station. The hotel also has a pretty decent looking buffet and a nice enough lobby bar. The hotel is very close to lots of dining options and bars at the many nearby malls and hotels. During check in and visiting this area you need to have your Beijing Health Kit working. Mine stopped working and I had troubles getting into quite a few venues despite having several other health codes working so make sure yours works before you go to Beijing! The picture of the lights I had issue with during my stay is included below including pictures of the superior room.…
We stayed for 5 nights in Beijing in this beautiful hotel. The service was very good and the hotel was clean. They are very family friendly. Even the food, especially the breakfast was very good. Thank you
We were very pleased to book into our pleasant room and realise we were within walking distance of so many attractions and restaurants. Beds are very comfortable and tge staff extremely attentive. Blair Xu made us feel so welcome and recommended some amazing places to visit. Zhao Hongyan was an extremely competent waitress. We felt very special.
Biggest complaint was regarding breakfast and check in. Breakfast was poor. Novotel breakfasts are generally worth their price tag. I left the breakfast room still hungry. There was limited choice for vegetarians and none of the hot dishes were labeled as suitable for vegetarian people. There was a small salad selection, no beans or pulses for protein and no cheese. As a result there was limited choices to get a balanced breakfast. Very very disappointing and not worth the additional cost. Secondly I only realized that upon arrival the executive lounge was closed. As such I went to the square restaurant instead. The food there was served cold. Again was not labeled as suitable for vegetarians and most contained some kind of meat. Finally the check in experience was not good. I prechecked in filling in all of the information days ahead and still was bothered to fill in another three forms upon arrival. These forms could have been pre filled in and just require my signature. As I normally stay at this hotel this is the first time I have had this problem checking in…
This is a very value for money hotel in downtown Beijing convenientally located next to the Wanfujing shopping street and nearby business district, also close to the forbidden city. Although not the newest hotel the condition is well maintained and the executive rooms are spacious with good light - and if you are lucky you'll get a view of the CBD skyscrapers. I always get the same lady at checkin and she's very helpful with all the registration requirements - they are quite strict in Beijing in the pandemic period - and if you don't speak Chinese they are fluent in English. I even get updgraded sometimes. It's really good price for the area compared to other hotels and my favorite benefit of staying there is that you are literally opposite the Peninsula Beijing, so I can go there for a drink on the rooftop bar without need spend a lot on a room.…
got upgraded to a suite with fantastic view over the Legendale hotel. the lounge is perfect for seeing half of the city. staff very nice especially blair Xu. the food during the happy hour was very nice as well
The location of the Novotel is the best. In the heart of Wanfujing , very convenient to subway and to all the sightseeing. The first room we had was bigger but yet very dated and smelling really bad. The receptionist changed our room to a cheaper room located in the west wing. The west wing has been renovated and was just perfect. I can only recommend the west wing if you book this hotel, the other side is really run down and needs a renovation badly. It is not up to the Novotel standards. Overall, we had a great stay and if I go back to Beijing I will choose the Peace Novotel again. The breakfast buffet was good and the concierge were very helpful to help us find our way around Bejing.
Great choice of hotel as was very central to everything. Fabulous buffet breakfast, Clean and spacious rooms, Good value for money and pleasant staff. Not too far from the airport and close to tourist attractions
The room was clean and large but, tired. The staff were friendly and helpful. The concierge desk was great. The hotel is close to the subway. The breakfast buffett was great.I will be staying here again.
