The hotel begins from the lobby. In Chang Fu Gong hotel you'll find a convenient place just in the lobby where you can meet you Chinese friends, drink a cup of tea, enjoy Chinese music. The location is good, especially if you like walking. And there are some historical places to see around. Going to Tiananmen square you can try...

Very attractive hotel if only the air conditioning was working. Luckily I visited before the hot and humid weather arrive. Rooms were very nice with coffee, tea, minibar in the room. Hair dryer. Toilet was very modern: bidet plus heated toilet seats.

If you plan to explore Beijing by public transport and walking, this is an ideal place. It is two minutes walk from the hotel to train station JianGuoMen which connects to a wide network. Five minutes walk to catch public transport to hit TianAnMen Square in 5 stations. Despite it is located in the city centre, the hotel is very...

We wanted a true Asian experience for our tour of China, so The New Otani Hotel in Beijing was a perfect choice for us. Hotel location is 5 out 5 stars: The hotel's location is ideal, right on the main street (Jianguomenwai) which is a great strip to walk to take in the modern Beijing hustle and bustle. Off the...

Very nice hotel. Nice location in a better part of town. Very good breakfast with a large selection. Large room and bathroom. But major problem is - A/C in rooms don't work. You can't open windows too, so it gets very hot at night. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

The hotel is big, sometimes luxurious, sometimes almost-luxurious, and offers all the services you might expect: there's gym, there's pool, there's two restaurants, a bar, a lounge cafe, ATM, all kind of meeting rooms and even a beautiful zen garden as a courtyard. The rooms couldn't be better, spacious and good - although there seems to be some issues with...

I cannot understand some of the bad reviews for this hotel. During a tour of Japan and China this was the best hotel we stayed in. The staff were all delightful and spoke reasonable English. The room was large and had all the amenities required and some more. We never had to adjust the room temperature so cannot comment on...

The good: The hotel is nice, modern architecture, comfortable rooms, fitness facility, multiple restaurants on site. The not so good: Other reviews mention that front desk staff does not speak much english, which is true. If you have a problem, they really don't understand what you need. Restaurants are somewhat expensive, although the Japanese restaurant was actually reasonable compared with...

I liked the size of the room, the comfort of the bed and the silent air conditioning. Close to the metro station. However I think room need a refurbish, smell of burned plastic in all the floor, quite a high rate compared to other facilities nearby.

Have stayed here 3 or 4 times - usually for 6-9 days a time. The good: large comfortable rooms, efficient check in and check out, perfectly adequate laundry service. The OK - coffee shop has by the (pretty poor) standards of neighbouring hotels of equivalent grade a reasonable western selection at breakfast. Dinner choices adequate. Unfortunately for the non-Chinese speaker...
