I would recommend this hotel for any first time visitors to Beijing as it's large, familiar, and comfortable, and close to many of the must-see tourists attractions. What's also handy is the shopping mall located beneath it. The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fake tropical pool set-up. It felt like something out of the 1980's....

We stayed at the grand Hyatt for several nights. The hotel is centrally located in Beijing to various transportation modes... Subway, bus system, official taxis and "black cabs" (unofficial). The hotel has a great buffet, coffee shop, attached to a mall, along with a great steak house just outside. The staff speaks English as well as several other languages. The...

For the most part the hotel was ok. However considering that this is the Grand Hyatt, i had higher expectations. First, there are number of their staff who struggled to communicate in English. Secondly, and more importantly, the level of professionalism and service falls below expectations to me. The incident that stands out most to me was at breakfast when...

Great hotel, perfect location, you have to experience their pool and spa area. Great staff. Public transportation 2min walk. Totally safe, as a female I have no worries riding the bus or subway. Only can recommend this hotel!!!!

Just the best location in Beijing! Great hotel with fantastic facilities and bar areas. Pool one of the best. However breakfast was our biggest disappointment-not the choice of food but the rude/abrupt service especially from the egg station chefs-clearly did not want to serve us!!! Also even if 2 people sat down the waiters were more than likely only to...

One of the best locations in Beijing especially for tourists, near the Forbidden City and in the historic WangFujian area and part of a great shopping mall with many good restaurants, food courts and practically all luxury shops. The only problem with this hotel is being popular with political visitors which make a mess when they show up (security checks,...

Very good hotel in a great central location close to The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Breakfast is pretty good with a large variety of options on offer. The hotel sits on top of a shopping mall which is handy. We found all the staff very polite and hard working.

I got to stay here for $166USD per night. Incredible value for the location. This is a conveniently located hotel, very nice rooms, nice service. I love the tropical pool and gym in the basement. It's also co-located with a shopping mall, in which I had one meal. I would stay here again.

Our cruise ship made arrangements for half of the passengers on the Beijing excursion to stay at the Grand Hyatt and it was perfect. We didn't interact that much w/ the staff so I cannot comment much there. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the foundation in the front of the hotel. If we wanted we could have gone...
