The Four Seasons Hotel Beijing receives high marks for its spotless rooms and commendable service, with staff members often going the extra mile to satisfy guests. While the hotel's amenities, including a spa and gym, are well-received, some guests suggest updates are needed. The atmosphere elicits mixed feelings; some guests admire the hotel's elegance, while others find it lacks modernity.
Additionally, opinions are divided on location, with some travelers finding it less than ideal for tourism despite being close to local amenities. Concerns about the hotel not fully meeting its 5-star expectations, particularly regarding outdated facilities and an underwhelming breakfast, are noted by visitors.

Detailed Reviews
The concierge team was extremely helpful and courteous. They called for taxi/limo for each trip leaving and returning to the Hotel. They made sure that the drivers agreed to be paid by cash - since I do not have bank accounts usable in China. I can name several staff: Harry, Evan, Syl, Chris, Michael and Peter - the Chief Concierge. In particular, Mr. LI, Dong Henry purchased show tickets before my arrival - without asking for my oversea credit card guarantee.
We were graced by the presence of Mr. Sebastien Boudon, Director of Food and Beverages, on Chinese New Year's Eve during uncorking of a champagne in the Bar/Restaurant.
In the same facility, my appreciation went to Tucker, a server. He turns on the heating lamp and brings in a glass of warm water whenever we stepped out to the adjacent (outdoor) courtyard.

I haven’t been back to the FS Beijing since the start of the pandemic, and I’m so glad to say that all is as wonderful as I remembered it. The location of the FS is great - steps away from a subway station, a grocery store in the Lufthansa mall, also various office towers in the area. I upgraded to a Four Seasons room this time, which I ended up really liking and would recommend. It’s very spacious and bright. There is some street noise, which I thought would bother me but is actually greatly reduced with the curtains closed.
The guest rooms are very comfortable and well maintained but not over the top, which I like. The breakfast is very tasty and the executive lounge is quite beautiful - I only discovered on this visit that there is a great outdoor terrace on the 26th floor.
What makes the FS stand out head and shoulders above most hotels I’ve stayed in in China (and frankly globally, as I think service levels in Asia are generally high) is the service. I changed rooms a couple of times when I first checked in and the staff were incredibly accommodating and understanding. I have pretty sensitive hearing (musician) and there was an faint but very high pitched electrical whine coming from the ceiling in one of my rooms - this happens surprisingly often in hotels, mostly bc it’s a pitch that few people can hear, and therefore can fix. The FS staff were the only team that I have ever encountered who knew exactly what the problem was (an AC component was off). I was incredibly impressed and grateful.
Everyone I encountered at the hotel was helpful and warm, and really interested in helping you find a solution, from the housekeeping staff to the front desk. I want to end with a special shout out to one of the busboys at breakfast. He saw me standing around at the check in podium waiting for a table, and that I had been waiting for a while. Even though it was probably not technically his responsibility, he stopped clearing the tables and came over to show me to a seat. I am quite appreciative when hotels empower and encourage staff to take initiative to help guests wherever possible, so thank you to the FS staff for continuing to provide the highest level of service to your guests.

I have a 10-day business trip in Beijing and I choose to stay in Four Season Hotel during my trip. The moment that I arrived at the hotel, the counter staff are very helpful and help me to explain to me in details about the hotel and the location of restaurants.
After check-in, another staff show me to my room and also show me all the items in my room so that I will be able to find what I need.
I have visited the executive lounge multiple times during my stay and their service is also excellent.
I would like to express my gratitude to a staff called Ann. Ann has been very helpful during my stay. She come over to offer assistance even before I request, she provide excellent information and also suggestion about my trip. Ann is very friendly and polite, she remember my name during the second time that we meet. She takes the initiative coming over to welcome me and have short conversation with me every time we meet. This makes me feel like home and also makes my stay more comfortable. I’ll definitely choose Four Season Hotel for my next visit and will also recommend Four Season Hotel for my friends.

We went for a weekend Staycation to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the hotel experience was exceptional. From the front desk staff who were welcoming and accommodating, to the ladies who diligently cleaned the rooms (even filling our tub for an evening bubble bath), it was great service all around. Room comfort is second to none. The Executive Lounge was fantastic. We had a great dinner in the restaurant although we could have easily been satisfied with the afternoon tea and happy hour with the wonderful snacks and food available. Excellent beer and wine also available. Service in the lounge was also outstanding. We are coming back and bringing friends. You will not be disappointed with the experience!

With rather limited travel opportunities, I decided on a staycation at the Four Seasons hotel. This is actually my second visit. It’s as to be expected at a hotel of this caliber. On my second stay, a young woman came out to greet me personally and walked me to me room- the same room as before and she even remembered that I like a cold room and had the air con on! 😊 I had a club room so was up on the 25th floor and had a wonderful view. The room was comfortable with lush bedding. PI had access to the lounge for breakfast, tea and dinner. Room service is a treat and was delicious. The burger was fabulous. The ONLY problem was with the Spa and not the spa itself, but other clients talking loudly on their phone. Spas are quiet spaces. This is the Four Seasons spa, not a cheap hutong spa. I voiced my concerns and the spa made good with a voucher the first stay and a fancy reusable water bottle the second time. Yes, this happened both stays! I talked with the manager and said a spa of this caliber really shouldn’t tolerate this. However, the spa is lovely and the therapist was exceptional. Anyway... I will be back. May be my onlu opportunity for a stay at a Four Seasons. 😊

I would like to thank the Four Seasons:Beijing, Christian Poda (the General Manager) and the entire team at the hotel for a wonderful stay during a difficult time. First, my thoughts and sympathy for what the hotel, the city of Beijing and the country of China are going through with the coronavirus. My family and I arrived on the eve of the Chinese New Year. In advance of our arrival, the Four Seasons concierges (there were several, and all great) helped us arrange several tours and excursions. Their help took place over several weeks of back-and-forth emails. We changed our minds on dates not infrequently, and the concierge team was very accommodating. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, China started closing everything. We were able to go on an initial tour, but after that, nothing was available. The concierge team was very helpful in keeping us informed, and trying to arrange alternatives. After that, my family and I were pretty much confined to the hotel. Well, if you need to be confined to a hotel, this was a perfect one. The pool is amazing, and the gym is extensive with everything you’d want. Plus, with a great hotel restaurant (the breakfast brunch layout was superb) plus the additional Michelin-starred Cai Yi Xuan, the food and beverage was excellent. We spent a lot of time in the lobby of the hotel, which was beautiful, and the hotel team was super attentive, helpful and kind. What always impresses me about a Four Seasons hotel is their attention to detail, and Four Seasons: Beijing was excellent. They always knew and called us by name, and after just one breakfast, they knew how we liked our lattes: my wife with almond milk and mine with whole. This extended all the way to the cleaning of our rooms, and the extra touches the team did there. Because of what was happening in China, it was a stressful time period, but the Four Season’s team did everything to make us feel comfortable and help things feel normal. They really stepped up during a difficult time. Thank you so much!

Elegant hospitality without pretentiousness. Executive Club team are superb, caring and unobtrusive at the same time. Facilities are excellent, never feeling overly busy or crowded. Rooms are so comfortable and quiet, wonderful beds and bedding for a sound sleep. Fantastic location for business and for exploring the sights of Beijing.
On this trip I hosted an important private dinner for 16 people, in the ultimate luxury of the penthouse Imperial suite, with spectacular views of Beijing. From the moment guests arrived, being welcomed by the senior team waiting in the lobby to personally escort the guests to the suite, with their every wish being attended to. The evening was a great success, the venue was superb, the food was wonderful, service its equal, simply perfect.

Stayed in an Ambassador Suite at the hotel for seven weeks on my arrival to Beijing right after the Olympic games. The location of the hotel is great, just off the third ring road and a few steps from the Liangmaqiao metro station. Fantastic opportunities for walks along the Liangma river, running in front of the hotel and the Chaoyang Park nearby. Also, Solana shopping mall is a short stroll away as is the buzz of Sanlitun village with its shops, bars and restaurants.
The hotel itself is extremely well kept, holding to the standards of Four Seasons elsewhere. The difference, however, is its attentive staff, From the first day we were greeted by name by basically everyone and received a very attentive service: from the doorman to the front desk, housekeeping, waiters in the restaurants and the spa not to forget the management and the sales. A special mention must, however, go to the staff of the Executive Club Lounge (Lisa, Rebecca, Ann, Earl, Jade, Zoe, Aaron and Julia) who all made us feel very welcome in our second living room. Especially Aaron and Julia had always the extra minute to chat with us and tried their best to accommodate our needs. Big thanks for that!
In the Opus lounge, Leo was the man who actively took contact, paid attention to our special requests and made sure the cappuccinos were made exactly the way we wanted and had the passion fruit and avocado ready. Needless to say that the food was in ample supply and outstanding quality in Mio, Opus and Executive Club.
We will definitely return for a staycation sometime soon and enjoy the food in the restaurants with friends and family. Many thanks for making our stay so memorable!

With this being my third stay at this hotel, it never disappoints. From the moment I arrived to be greeted and assisted by the doormen, to the excellent front desk, executive lounge and more. Nowhere could I walk in this hotel and not be greeted warmly by a friendly staff who on every level provides excellent customer service. You can be made to feel like you matter and all your needs are met to the best of their ability. They really care about their guests and it shows. While every staff member at this hotel does their best in taking care of the guests, I must say that my most recent stay was made extra memorable by Carrie of the reception front desk, she is in a word " fantastic". Chris in concierge, Rebecca, Zoe, Daniel, Adele, Ann in the executive lounge, Bruce from the breakfast area and bar/lounge area on the main floor. Head Chef during breakfast made my French toast sticks to perfection. My compliments to the hotel manager Ms. Lili Wong for her incredible staff and the standards she has set to continue to make this particular "Four Seasons" a hotel worthy of it's many positive reviews. I will return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel is a little old but the breakfast buffet was awesome. Something for everyone with both local and international options. The adults enjoyed the beef noodles with brisket and tendons while the kids enjoyed the donuts. Housekeeeping is prompt and quick, always making sure we have ample water in the room.
The concierge arranged our two day local tours to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and The Great Wall of China. Our friendly tour guide Gary shared interesting history and architecture facts which intrigued the kids, especially the still working 1000s of dragon spouts that prevent flooding in the palace and how the Great Wall was built over 3 dynasties and span across 9 provinces.

I saw curry once, but not sure whether that's authentic Indian or not since I haven't been to India yet.
Sorry, there was so much to see and do outside the hotel that I never even saw the pool!
I did not notice any smokers in the hotel. No hint of stale smoke in my room.
No, the elevators are standard, but plenty of elevators and fast. There is an inner courtyard effect, as you can look from the halls, over a railing, down the length of the hotel -- a little dizzying, but attractive. The hotel is well-maintained. It has an excellent breakfast buffet.
